Daily Inspiration: Meet Anna Hartman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Hartman.

Hi Anna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I launched my blog in 2013 while finishing up college, living with my boyfriend in Baltimore city, and working full-time at a windowless corporate job. My first blog, Anna Elizabeth Events, was born out of a need for creativity and passion. I dreamed about planning luxurious, over-the-top events in the city and when no one would hire me in the area, I decided to explore that world myself through inspiration photo collages and styled photoshoots.

Over time, event planning morphed into lifestyle writing with an emphasis on fashion. Years later after finding my niche with feminine, petite style and a blush pink aesthetic, I rebranded my blog as Lifestyle by Anna Elizabeth and refocused on the business aspect of growing a successful blog.

Since then, I have attended 2 fashion weeks in New York City, worked on countless fashion, travel, food, and home collaborations, and been featured in publications such as Lauren Conrad Co and photographed for the home banner of websites such as ChicWish.

I created my blog as a way to connect women from all over the world through their love of fashion, homemaking, and travel. I am proud of how far it has come over the past 8 years and excited to see what the future holds.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road over the past 8 years; there have been many times where I have taken a much-needed break or considered giving it up altogether. From online bullying to algorithm shifts that make it impossible to grow, sacrificing time with family and friends, failed launches, and more, publishing consistent content over the years has not been easy.

I work from home full-time at my corporate job in addition to being a new Mom to our 4-month old baby boy, so juggling those 2 responsibilities alone can be difficult at times, and then when you add on a profitable business that essentially requires your attention 24/7 in order to grow, it can be overwhelming.

The biggest thing I have learned, especially since becoming a new Mom, is to give myself grace and to realize that I can’t do it all, all the time. There are definitely weeks where I feel like I’m “crushing it” in the Mom, wife, employee, and business owner departments, and then other weeks where I barely feel like I’m doing a decent job at any of the 4. I always remind myself that difficult seasons come in waves and that nothing lasts forever.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I write, publish, and manage a blog and brand called “Lifestyle by Anna Elizabeth” that launched originally under a different name in 2013. I am best known for my blush pink aesthetic and feminine, Parisian-inspired fashion.

Earlier this year, I launched my first eBook on Amazon, “Pinterest Marketing How I Grew to 60 MILLION Impressions on Pinterest: My Tips and Tricks, Plus Why It’s Not as Difficult as It Seems”. It is my step-by-step guide to growing your monthly Pinterest impressions from thousands to millions, how to speak directly to your target audience, and generate life-changing income in the process.

In 2020 alone, I grew my Pinterest impressions from 24.7 thousand per day to 2.46 million per day. More importantly, as a result of this growth, the unique visitor traffic to my blog increased by 675%, my affiliate link clinks increased by 142%, my ad revenue increased by 500%, and I’ve had countless opportunities for paid collaborations as these statistics began to speak for themselves.
