She first started in 2018, creating content for her YouTube channel Lex TV. which is now known as MissLexxTv, Lex is your all-around Digital Content Creator. She has been hitting the scene ever since with viral eye-catching, entertaining, and amusing visuals via Youtube, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, & More.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I definitely have struggled along the way, it was right before the pandemic hit hard and like every college student I was in my bag, going to any and everything out there.
I had a hard time trusting who I was as a person and being confident in my special skills. I had gone through a low period before God had to sit me down in order to understand why my lifestyle needed to change. I was constantly blaming myself for things I couldn’t control and to subconsciously gain control, I used the people around me, the communities around me to fulfill that need for control.
I had to let go of what I thought I wanted and needed for my life in order for God to take over and show me where he wants me to go. I have felt so much happier and lighter when knowing that it was always on his timing and what you thought you may have wanted; he turns around and gives you three times as a big blessing for simply following his will for your life.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As MissLexxTv, I am your all-around digital content creator. I can brainstorm, shoot, produce, and edit all of your content and get it back to you all in a timely manner. My job is to make your vision come to life through entertaining and eye-catching visuals.
I specialize in making memories, from capturing life on a college campus to vacation outings, networking events, and so much more. What sets me apart is that I can do it all, I enjoy being in front and behind the camera, and I’m your girl when it comes to knowing the trends and how to make engaging content for consumers. I am also a devoted fashion content creator who loves putting together fire looks for all the plus-size guys and girlies.
Fashion was harder to navigate growing up with being a bigger kid, and now I am able to help people find their style and show you that anyone can look good not just a size 4. I am most proud of my brand as a whole. Little ol’ me went from using her phone and a $5 tripod making YouTube videos to now owning a digital products business as well as being a part-time creator/student, yeah I’m pretty proud of myself!
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I honestly have never believed in luck, I have always believed that in whichever area you find that you shine the best, you will do your best. I have a blistering love when it comes to making graphics, editing, filming, equipment, etc.
I know that because I love it, I can keep doing it every day. Something I was taught by my father is that if you were not paid to do what you do, you would still do it anyway because you simply enjoy doing it, that’s the difference between a job and a career.
I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for me trying out different activities and hobbies, to figure out what it is that I like to do for fun. Learn who you are through doing activities that bring you joy!
