Today we’d like to introduce you to Adeiva Samuel.
Hi Adeiva, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Adeiva—yes, I am A Diva! Wife to my high school sweetheart, mama to three beautiful children (including a set of twins!) and the heart and mind behind The RNewed Mama.
Since I was a child, creativity has always been the language I’ve used to communicate my heart felt thoughts. I’m very driven by the right side of my brain—drawn to music, dance, painting, and fashion. I remember at an early age, I used to sketch out dresses I dreamed of creating, even though I never knew how or when that creative side would take center stage in my life. At the time, my dream was to become a pediatrician. That passion to care for others led me to become a nurse, and while that fulfilled part of my purpose, the creative spark never left me—it just quietly waited for the right season.
While working as a nurse, especially during the pandemic, my creativity became a safe place. I would paint or color in quiet moments, a way to process the chaos around me. It was in that intense season on the frontlines that I created I Am RNewed, a message meant to encourage nurses, to refill their own cups so they could continue pouring into others. It was a small step but it ignited something deep inside.
After “retiring” from bedside nursing to focus on my family and help create a lasting foundation for our legacy, the seeds of The RNewed Mama started to bloom. Following my second postpartum journey—one that brought anxiety, overwhelming emotions, isolation, and major financial challenges—I knew I wasn’t the same woman. I had changed. Evolved. And I realized so many mamas were silently walking through “The Struggle” as well.
That’s when I rebranded and renamed my community to The RNewed Mama—a space for women navigating the evolution of motherhood. Leaning into the unique creativity that motherhood fosters to bring a form of therapy and healing. Through devotionals and time in the Word In the quiet moments with God, He started giving me the ideas, designs, and messages that would later become the foundation of my brand. I trusted Him, took the leap, and brought those designs to life—each one infused with purpose, faith, and a reminder that we are not alone.
Through it all, my relationship with God deepened. I found clarity in my calling. And now, I’m on a mission to empower women and remind mamas everywhere: God chose YOU for this. He will equip you, strengthen you, and carry you through.
The RNewed Mama is more than a brand—it’s a movement. It’s our story, the story of every mama, woven into each design, every message, and every woman we serve.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced along my journey has been navigating postpartum—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally. After having our three children, especially after my second pregnancy, I experienced the weight of postpartum struggles that many mothers face but often don’t talk about. I was adjusting to a completely new version of myself while still trying to be everything for everyone. On top of that, we faced financial challenges that stretched us and required deep faith and creativity. There were moments where it felt like we were running on empty—emotionally, spiritually, and materially.
I remember feeling like I had lost the version of me I once knew. The days were long, the nights were longer, and there were moments I felt unseen and unsure of who I was outside of motherhood. I battled the silent heaviness of postpartum anxiety, often putting on a brave face while internally questioning if I was enough, or if I’d ever feel like myself again.
The isolation was real—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. But through every obstacle, God was faithful. He opened doors I didn’t even know existed. Whether it was unexpected provision, encouraging words at just the right time or new opportunities that aligned perfectly with my passions. God kept reminding me that I wasn’t alone and that He was guiding my steps. Those challenges shaped me. They deepened my faith, and gave me a heart for other mothers.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am the creator of The RNewed Mama, a faith-based motherhood brand and apparel shop created to uplift and encourage moms in every season—especially the ones that feel the hardest. After walking through postpartum anxiety, isolation, and a major identity shift after my second pregnancy, I felt called to share my story and create a space where other mothers could feel seen, strengthened, and reminded of their worth.
Through my apparel I empower mamas to refill their cups, wear their testimony, and walk boldly in their God-given purpose. What sets The RNewed Mama apart is the authenticity behind it—everything I create flows from a place of lived experience and a deep desire to remind women they’re not alone. I’m most proud of the community being built around this message and the way God continues to use my story and others like me to breathe life into some many in need of hope.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
So many people have played a part in the growth and success of The RNewed Mama, but without a doubt, my biggest supporters have been the incredible community of moms who show up for me time and time again. From the very beginning, it’s been their encouragement—messages saying, “Keep going,” photos and videos of them wearing the apparel, showing up at pop-up events and sharing the brand with their friends—that has kept me inspired and fueled.
These women aren’t just customers; they’re the heart of the mission. Many of them are walking through their own hard seasons, yet they still take the time to uplift, pray for and remind me why this work matters. Their stories, strength and vulnerability have shaped the vision of this brand in ways I never imagined. I’m forever grateful for the tribe of support that continues to surround and strengthen The RNewed Mama.
