Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharell Myers.
Hi Sharell, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been in love with art since I was a kid, and that passion has stayed with me throughout my life. I’ve always had a natural ability to take the bare minimum and turn it into something meaningful and creative.
My love for fashion started early as well. I would collect fashion magazines, cut out pictures, and create my own ideas and designs. Even then, I was constantly imagining different looks, concepts, and possibilities.
One of my biggest strengths is being able to visualize things before they even exist. Someone can describe an idea to me, and I can immediately picture it in my mind and get excited about bringing that vision to life. Over time, that creativity has continued to grow, and I’m now looking for opportunities to turn something I’ve loved since childhood into something bigger.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve had a lot of moments where I’ve doubted myself and questioned whether I was really good enough to pursue my creativity. Sometimes life gets in the way, and I’ve had to put my dreams and ideas to the side just to deal with what was in front of me.
I think one of my biggest struggles has been learning to believe in my own vision. I’ve always been able to see things in my head and imagine what something could become, but actually trusting myself enough to bring those ideas to life has been a journey.
There were times when I felt like I was starting over or that I wasn’t moving fast enough. But no matter what I went through, I never stopped loving art and fashion. That part of me was always there. Looking back, I think the struggles helped me realize that this isn’t just something I like to do — creativity is a part of who I am. I’m still figuring things out, but now I’m learning to trust myself and my ideas more and give myself a chance to see what I can really do.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work is really an extension of how I’ve always seen the world. I’m very visual and creative, and I love taking an idea and turning it into something people can actually see and feel. I’m especially drawn to art, fashion, styling, and putting different ideas together in a way that feels unique.
I think one thing I’m known for is being able to create something out of almost anything. I don’t always need a lot to start with. Give me a basic idea, a few materials, or even just a description, and my mind immediately starts creating. I can see the finished vision in my head before I even begin.
What I’m most proud of is that creativity has always been a part of me. This isn’t something I picked up recently — I’ve been creating since I was a child. I used to collect magazines, cut out pictures, and put things together just because I loved creating my own vision.
What sets me apart is my imagination and the way I see possibilities. Someone can explain something to me, and I can visualize it in a completely different way and get excited about bringing it to life. I’m not afraid to think outside the box, experiment, or start with something simple and turn it into something that feels special. I’m proud of that ability, and I’m excited to see how far I can take it.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I think the art and fashion industry is going to become even more creative, personal, and open to people with a unique vision. When I think about where I want to go in fashion, I always think back to how creative I was as a child. I was always drawing, collecting magazines, cutting out pictures, and putting different things together to create my own ideas. I didn’t necessarily have the words for it back then, but looking back, I realize I was already developing the way I see fashion today.
Fashion has always felt like another form of art to me. I love being able to take an idea in my head and turn it into something visual — whether that’s an outfit, a style, a concept, or an entire look. That ability to visualize things has been with me since I was young, and I want to continue turning that natural creativity into a career.
Over the next 5–10 years, I want to stay true to the part of me that was always creating as a kid. I want to take that imagination I’ve always had and turn it into a recognizable style and a career that people can connect with. I’m not just interested in following fashion — I want to use fashion as a way to express my own vision.
