Conversations with Miyah Greer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miyah Greer

Hi Miyah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started creating memory jewelry and display pieces because I wanted my own ring to signify my feeding journey with my new baby. I couldn’t afford most of the marketed preservation companies so I taught myself how to start preserving milk and other inclusions and was able to create my own ring and now offer memory pieces to everyone at an affordable price because I believe something this special should be accessible to all

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Material costs, vendor supply, and all around the learning curve of how things preserve differently and suspend in epoxy was some of the biggest challenges I faced while learning this technique. Working with something so limited and incredibly sentimental is always nerve wracking so I had to perfect my method for a while before offering it to others

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am so proud to be able to now offer affordable and easily accessible memory jewelry and decor pieces to everyone. Wether it’s breast milk, cremains, or a special piece of fabric from a shirt I’m able to memorialize so many things so you can keep them forever and keep them close to you always.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
The thing that makes me happiest in the world is my daughter, she is the light of my life and just brings my heart so much joy and peace. I also love the freedom my business has given me so I can stay home with her, watch her grow, and teach her
