Conversations with Jonathan Grayson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Grayson.

Hi Jonathan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Raised in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, PA. I received a prophetic word in 1983, at age six, in front of my Mom from a stranger: that I would be a Pastor one day. That day has been ingrained in my long-term memory. We were riding the C Bus on Broad and Olney Avenue, Philadelphia. 30 Years later, the words came to pass, Baltimore Worship Center has been standing for over thirteen years. In the late 2000’s, I remember going into the Alex Brown building in Baltimore City, where I was working in the loading dock for Pitney Bowes. I knew my life was going to change for the better; my desire for education, travel, and art was in my heart. In 2001, I received a call from a family member stating, ” Your cruise and airline tickets are paid for, with disbelief, I went to purchase a passport. To my surprise, my wife said I believe it is time for a promotion. A job opened supporting our nation’s freedom. I remember taking courses in college and starting the encouragement company business. Simultaneously, one day, we were heading to a church to attend a funeral service. A lady approached me in front of my in-laws’ family. Her words were, ” Did you graduate?” My response was, ” Ma’am, you have the wrong person as I began to turn to walk away. The lady prophetically spoke, the Lord said, ” You will graduate. I graduated, according to the words of the Lord, from the lady receiving two degrees. Although my career as a logistician has helped me support some of the most complex missions. My passions have been traveling, achieving over 22 cruises, and visiting countries in history books. My greatest achievement has been pastoring and contributing to my community with services at local nursing homes. Today, I am a full-time Pastor and have continued to support the federal community for over 24 years.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road was not smooth at all. I had no family in the State of Maryland. My family members were not close to help me fix problems. I was navigating through life and communities for the first time. I only knew how to ride the light rail to work and back to the train station to get home. Being newly married, most of my learning came from my father-in-law, who passed away in 2010. His guidance has been key to 25 years of marriage this July.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in supporting missions to safeguard our freedoms. I am known for being reliable, calm, and caring for all individuals. I am proud of being educated and never forgetting my ancestors, how they would have dreamed of some of the benefits I received from their struggles. What sets me apart is that I refuse to allow things I have no control over to get me down. I am also a game-changer. I am always thinking strategically of Plan A and Plan B.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
One of my hobbies is going to art shows to view my favorite painters, Itzchak Tarkay, Slava Ilyayev, Jean-Claude, and many other famous painters like Daniel Wall.
