Hi Jazmin & Brice, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Picture The Joy was born out of a season of transition, creativity, and a desire to create happiness for others. While balancing long work days, newlywed life, and dreams about the future, we realized how much joy can be in the little moments that people want to remember forever. Both my husband and I have experienced firsthand the beauty of weddings filled with happy tears, graduation parties celebrating hard work, and bridal showers surrounded by family and laughter.
Ironically, one of the biggest inspirations for our business came from our own wedding day. Due to wedding day “getting ready” delays, I arrived to our wedding ceremony almost forty minutes after the scheduled start time. Because of that, there were so many loved ones I never got the chance to take photos with throughout the night. After our experience, we became determined to create an experience where people could let loose, laugh together, and walk away with memories they would treasure long after the event ended.
The name “Picture The Joy” reflects exactly what our company stands for, capturing authentic happiness in real time. Built with a love for people and celebration, Picture The Joy has grown tremendously this year, and we look forward bringing our experience to many more events in the years to come.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being small business owners has definitely had it’s challenges along the way. Starting a business while balancing full-time work, marriage, and everyday life has required a lot of sacrifice, patience, and persistence. There were moments when we questioned if we were ready, especially while trying to build something meaningful from the ground up without having every resource or piece of equipment we hoped for.
On a personal level, there were also seasons of health struggles that made entrepreneurship more difficult at times. Learning how to balance rest, work, and creativity while still showing up fully for our clients was something we had to grow through together.
One of the biggest challenges has simply been learning as we go. As a growing business, every event teaches us something new, from managing timelines and marketing to creating the best possible guest experience. But those challenges have also shaped us and helped us to improve.
Despite the obstacles, we’ve always believed in the heart behind Picture The Joy. Seeing people laugh, celebrate, and leave with memories they genuinely cherish reminds us why we started in the first place, and it makes every challenge along the way worth it.

My husband and I are the owners of Picture The Joy, a growing photo booth business that specializes in creating fun, interactive experiences that help people capture authentic moments of joy at life’s biggest celebrations. Building a business together as newlyweds has been one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives.
What sets Picture The Joy apart is the heart behind what we do. As a husband and wife team, we understand firsthand how quickly meaningful moments can pass by during major life events. After experiencing how fast-paced and busy our own wedding day became, we became passionate about creating a space where guests can easily capture authentic, candid memories with the people they love most.
