Hi Ben, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
cityHUNT started in 2001 in an NYU dorm room as a scavenger hunt pub crawl experience using polaroid cameras. It evolved into a team building, birthday, bachelorette & family urban adventure company with live experience in 250+ cities and amazing virtual offerings.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
LOL, very interesting journey, starting the company in NYC Sept 10, 2001, growing from polaroid, cameras, to digital cameras, then making the jump to becoming a technology company and having our own platform for live and virtual events. The financial crisis was also an interesting time for us as we learned to diversify. Covid changed everything as we completely pivoted and developed a virtual platform in a matter of weeks. Very grateful to be doing safe live outdoor experiences again along with the best of virtual games.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are different in terms of our focus on mission and give back, we take a portion of proceeds from all our events and use that to create scholarships for non-profits and schools, with the goal of no one being shut out from “being more awesome together”.
During Covid, we pivoted to making more awesome to being more awesome together, that is the core of all our experiences, helping people deepen relationships with others, the environment around them, and hopefully themselves.
We always infuse lots of kindness and mindfulness in really fun unexpected during our events.

We are deeply passionate about ‘Being more awesome together’, flowing into the Be culture at work and in life.
We bring this to life by infusing gamification, positive psychology, and mindfulness into everything we do.
