Today we’d like to introduce you to BarZenTino.
Hi BarZenTino, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey started in Washington, D.C., but I was raised between Baltimore City and Severn, Maryland. Growing up, I was surrounded by hardworking people who taught me resilience, but I also saw firsthand how limited opportunities can shape entire communities. From an early age, I knew I wanted to build something bigger than myself.
Music became my first outlet. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to perform alongside and open for major artists, headline my own shows, and use my voice to connect with people through my experiences. But I realized I didn’t want to just build a music career—I wanted to build businesses, create opportunities, and leave a legacy.
That mindset led me to launch Start Small Move Big, a brand built around the belief that meaningful success starts with consistent, intentional action. What began as a personal philosophy has evolved into a platform that blends music, entrepreneurship, education, and community impact. Along the way, I’ve also worked across the cannabis industry in sales and business development, helping brands grow while learning what it takes to build sustainable businesses from the ground up.
Today, I wear several hats: artist, entrepreneur, consultant, author, and community builder. Whether I’m releasing music, writing books, developing business partnerships, or mentoring others, the mission stays the same—to inspire people to bet on themselves, move with purpose, and understand that you don’t have to start big to become great. You just have to start.
I’m still building, still learning, and still chasing bigger goals, but everything I’ve done has reinforced one belief: success isn’t about where you begin—it’s about your willingness to keep moving forward.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s what has shaped me the most.
Like many entrepreneurs and artists, I’ve faced financial setbacks, business challenges, and moments where things didn’t go according to plan. There were times when I had to balance multiple jobs while investing in my music and businesses, times when projects fell through after months of work, and moments where I questioned whether I was moving fast enough. I’ve also learned that building a brand isn’t just about having a great idea—it’s about consistency, relationships, patience, and being willing to adapt.
One of the biggest lessons has been learning not to tie my identity to temporary setbacks. Every obstacle became an opportunity to learn something I could apply to the next venture. Whether it was growing my music career, building Start Small Move Big, working in business development, or creating opportunities through community partnerships, every challenge strengthened my foundation.
I don’t believe success comes from avoiding hardship—I believe it comes from how you respond to it. Those difficult seasons taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of staying committed to a long-term vision. Today, I see those struggles as part of the reason I’m able to connect with people authentically and help others believe that their starting point doesn’t have to define where they end up.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I describe myself as a creative entrepreneur. Music is where many people first discover me, but what I really specialize in is building platforms that inspire people to think bigger about what’s possible.
As an independent recording artist, I’ve had the opportunity to perform alongside and open for nationally recognized artists, headline my own shows, and build a loyal audience through authentic storytelling. Beyond music, I’m the founder of Start Small Move Big, a brand rooted in the belief that small, consistent actions lead to extraordinary results. Through that platform, I combine music, business consulting, educational content, community initiatives, and apparel to encourage others to pursue entrepreneurship and personal growth.
I’ve also built experience in business development and brand partnerships, particularly within the cannabis industry, where I’ve helped strengthen relationships between brands, retailers, and consumers while creating marketing opportunities that benefit everyone involved.
What I’m most proud of isn’t any single accomplishment—it’s the fact that everything I’m building connects back to one mission: creating opportunities for myself and for others. Whether it’s helping an artist gain exposure, connecting businesses, mentoring entrepreneurs, or inspiring someone through my music or writing, I want my work to create lasting impact.
What sets me apart is that I don’t see myself as just an artist or just a business owner. I’m building an ecosystem. Every project, company, partnership, and creative endeavor supports a larger vision centered on ownership, education, collaboration, and community. I’m not simply chasing success for myself—I’m creating a blueprint that shows other people they can build something meaningful from wherever they start.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Pick a goal, stick to it be consistent!
Expect failure,give yourself grace!
Everything will come as long as you work hard and most importantly have faith in the higher power above. Without faith nothing works and without work faith is but a wish.
