Community Highlights: Meet Vince Aka V Mayjor Armstrong of Aesthete Recording Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vince Aka V Mayjor Armstrong.

Hi Vince aka V Mayjor, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My passion for music began in New York City, where I was surrounded by a vibrant music culture. As a fan of hip-hop and R&B, my curiosity led me to explore the intricacies of music creation, ultimately discovering audio engineering. Over the years, I’ve honed my craft and expanded my work area, ultimately establishing Aesthete Recording Studio.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Initially, financial stability and the opportunity to showcase my skills were major obstacles. However, through consistent effort, faith, and the ability to read a room in every situation, I was able to overcome each hurdle along the way. Another great obstacle is adapting to the ever-changing music industry and clientele. The recording and creation processes have evolved significantly over the past five to ten years, and the creative process for artists has become less structured. Additionally, people are increasingly content with lower quality in exchange for reduced costs. As an engineer, producer, or studio owner, it’s crucial to demonstrate your value and significance.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Aesthete Recording Studio is a sound-recording facility that caters to both independent artists and major record labels. We are centrally located between DC and Baltimore. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including recording, mixing, and mastering, to musicians. Additionally, we have an academy that trains aspiring audio engineers and producers. Furthermore, we host various events such as listening sessions, networking events, and birthday corporate events.

What truly sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to quality and artistic vision. We meticulously take care of each genre, artist, and deliver work that remains true to their artistic aspirations. Our welcoming environment ensures that everyone, regardless of their established or emerging status, feels comfortable and professional in our studio space.

We understand that not all artists have the same recording needs, so we have thoughtfully designed our studio with rooms of different sizes. We have a smaller room for intimate sessions and a larger room to accommodate larger gatherings.

We are constantly striving to be recognized as the facility that takes the lead. While we acknowledge that we are not the first high-end studio in the DMV, we pay homage to those who came before us and are determined to set the standard for the future.

The name “Aesthete” reflects our core values. It embodies a person who possesses or influences a refined and highly developed appreciation for beauty, particularly in art and music.

Ultimately, our ultimate goal is to become a prominent fixture in the DMV. We set high standards, and as evidenced by the over 200+ 5-star reviews we have garnered from a simple Google search, we consistently exceed expectations.

At Aesthete Recording Studio, we genuinely care about the vision of our clients. We work with musicians from all genres and styles to fulfill their musical aspirations. Quality is non-negotiable, and that’s why we have invested significantly in our room acoustics, equipment, and the selection of our talented engineers.

We prioritize comfort and professionalism, ensuring that the recording experience goes beyond technical excellence. We aim to inspire, support, and stress-free our artists, fostering a creative environment that encourages them to reach their full potential.

Furthermore, we have cultivated strong relationships with record labels, artists, and are excited to bring exciting opportunities to the deserving musicians we have had the privilege of working with.
