Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Rae Levin.
Hi Jessica Rae, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Since I was young, people just seemed to open up to me and tell me their stories. I didn’t expect it or ask for it, but I loved it. It often felt as if the universe had chosen me to hold space for people’s stories, pain, and healing and eventually, I became curious about how to turn that instinct into a profession. That’s what led me to pursue my master’s in Psychotherapy and Marriage and Family Therapy.
Now, while I deeply value that training, I quickly realized that the traditional therapy model didn’t fully resonate with me. During my externships, I often found myself thinking, ‘If one more therapists asks a client how that makes them feel or what they think they should do about x situation, I might lose my mind🤪 .’ Not because the question isn’t valid, but because so many people come to us precisely because they don’t have the answers and they’re craving clarity and direction.
After grad school, I stepped back and unexpectantly went through a season (or few!) of my own personal challenges and transformations. Although difficult at the time, in hindsight, they became some of my greatest teachers and lessons. They gave me a new perspective and the ability to turn pain into purpose. And now, when I sit across from a client, I know I can connect with them not only from a professional lens, but from a human one.
For the past eight years, I’ve built and run my own coaching practice. While I certainly draw from therapeutic foundations, I don’t practice traditional, licensed therapy. Instead, I’ve embraced more modern, progressive modalities like past life regression therapy and EMDR-inspired approaches that help people access real healing and transformation. In short, my work blends the rigor of formal training with the creativity of more expansive practices, and I believe that balance is what allows me to guide people toward lasting change.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road…. is anything, really 😊? But I believe there’s always beauty in the breakdown. The struggles and setbacks have made me a stronger coach, a better businessperson, and ultimately a more grounded human being. There’s a saying, ‘Even therapists need a therapist,’ and while I don’t practice traditional licensed therapy, there’s truth in that sentiment. Coaches, healers, and spiritual guides all have our own challenges to work through. Life happens, even to us. The skill is learning how to acknowledge those struggles, put them aside, and still show up fully for clients and doing so in a way that’s sustainable and healthy.
There’s also rejection in this field. Along with an incredible amount of gratitude and love which is important for me to point out. However, you’re not always going to be everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s okay. What matters is helping as many people as you can, holding space for others to heal, and accepting that you can’t be everything to everyone.
When I first started, I was running my business while still working full-time in corporate America, which made balance a real challenge. But over time, the business grew, and now I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My business is rooted in a very simple belief: healing and transformation are possible for everyone, but it takes the right mix of guidance, tools, and honesty. I specialize in helping women and men reclaim their power and confidence after stressful life events whether that’s a difficult breakup, a tumultuous relationship, a messy divorce, or recovering from narcissistic or abusive partnerships… just to name a few… because, well, there is a lot.
What makes my work different is the eclectic nature of my background. I hold a master’s in Psychotherapy and Marriage and Family Therapy, I am also certified in Neuropsychotherapy, EMDR, and through the Gottman Method for treating affairs and trauma. I’ve also trained in past life regression therapy and am a certified practitioner…please reach out if you are interested in learning more about past life regression! My education has been complemented by years of professional experience and just as importantly, by real, personal life experiences that give me a depth of empathy and understanding that textbooks alone can’t teach.
Because of this mix, my approach isn’t one-dimensional. I combine traditional, evidence-based psychology with modern, progressive methods like regression work, neuroscience-backed trauma work, and even lifestyle consulting elements such as reframing, beauty, wardrobe, and confidence-building. Clients come to me when they don’t want sugar-coating; they want someone who will lovingly call out the dysfunctional patterns, identify the toxic behaviors, and then give them the practical steps to change them. If you’re looking for someone to just tell you what you want to hear, I’m probably not your gal! This, in my opinion, is what sets me apart.
I’m most proud of how the brand has become known for real results. I don’t promise overnight transformations (unfortunately, healing doesn’t work that way) but my clients often see meaningful shifts faster than they expect, because my process is direct, evidence-based, and tailored to who they are as individuals.
For me, this work goes beyond simply “coaching”. It’s about shaping how we, as individuals, show up in the world. The functionality and health of our relationships have profound ripple effects, not just on our partners, but on our families, communities, and ultimately ourselves. When our relationships are rooted in respect, honesty, and love, we thrive; when they’re toxic or unbalanced, it can leave lasting scars that influence every area of our lives. This is why I feel such a deep calling to help people not only nurture the love they already have but also learn when and how to release relationships that no longer serve them. Guiding individuals or couples through that process, whether it’s building stronger bonds or finding the courage to part ways peacefully, is one of the most meaningful aspects of what I do.
And yes, one of my favorite offerings is past life regression. People are often curious: Why do I have such a strong connection to someone I’ve just met? Why do certain patterns repeat in my life? Why doesn’t this place feel familiar? Why can’t I heal from x experience? Why do I have that recurring dream? Why can’t I end my toxic relationship? Why do I have chronic pain that won’t go away no matter what I do? Why do have x fear? Regression work can unlock those answers. While it’s not for everyone, it has been an extraordinary tool for many of my clients, and I offer it in private sessions, group retreats, and workshops across the DMV area and beyond.
Another passion of mine is wardrobe and beauty consulting, because I firmly believe that how we present ourselves on the outside deeply impacts how we feel on the inside. When we look good, we feel good and that confidence alone can be a catalyst for healing and transformation. I love guiding clients through a wardrobe refresh or helping them refine their beauty routine, then watching as they step into a brighter, more empowered version of themselves. Sometimes the simple act of putting on an outfit that truly reflects who you are today, not who you used to be, can shift your energy and outlook in powerful ways. And the best part? This work doesn’t have to happen in person. With the right tools and strategies, I can create this same transformation virtually, giving clients the flexibility to access this boost of confidence and renewal from anywhere.
At the end of the day, my brand is about empowerment: helping people feel strong, independent, attractive, and grounded so they can love and be loved in the healthiest way possible.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love most about the DMV is its incredible duality; it’s a city of stories, where every monument and piece of architecture seems to whisper something about who we were and who we’re becoming. There’s a certain magic in being surrounded by history while also witnessing a modern movement toward mindfulness, wellness, and human connection. I love that in just ten minutes you can go from the rush of the city, immersed in its vibrant energy, to the calm of a winery, the mountains or the serenity of a waterfall. It’s a place that offers both stimulation and stillness, and for me, that balance is everything. The community here is also so rich with like-minded individuals, and I feel grateful for the many opportunities to partner with spaces that value mindfulness and wellness for retreats, workshops, and classes.
What I like least is less of a “dislike” and more of a reflection is the city’s fast pace and ambitious spirit, while inspiring, can sometimes make it hard for people to pause, breathe, and simply…. just be. There’s so much beauty here, but it’s easy to rush past it. That’s why I feel so drawn to create opportunities where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and rediscover the magic that’s been around them all along.
