Allow me to introduce myself. I Am Dr. Monica Riley, MD and I am the award-winning founder of Dr. Monica’s Natural Beauty, LLC!
My journey into the world of clean, plant-based beauty and luxury fragrance began from a very personal place—a desire for effective, science-backed beauty products that were safe and sustainable for women 40+ with special honor to Melanated Beauty. Some of the most powerful beauty secrets are hiding in plain sight.
Drawing on my 100 year legacy of healing traditions, from the inside-out, and my 30+ expertise in holistic healing therapies, I started formulating my solutions inspired by my Nana, which blossomed into my own award-winning product and fragrance line – Dr. Monica’s Natural Beauty, LLC- focused on harnessing nature with clinical efficacy. My ethos is “Self-Care IS Healthcare”™️
I believe that beauty is more than skincare. It’s a wellness journey rooted in generations of plant-based healing traditions.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I must be transparent and admit that the loss of my Nana, followed by my beloved Father in 2017, affected my mental health more than I thought. They transitioned just 67 days apart and I was left holding the broken pieces of their legacies.
I founded Dr. Monica’s Natural Beauty in 2016. So, this loss was felt throughout my whole body. They were my OG’s – my original influencers. I guess I was just moving through the motions of life. I thought I was keeping myself up and holding steady, but I really wasn’t.
I developed an extreme case of anxiety that crippled my lifestyle and my interactions with my loved ones. I was triggered into a flood of emotions by just about everything.
Leaning into my faith in God and blending my botanicals, on a daily, in my Aroma-Lab saved my life. Remembering that I had a legacy of healing to continue saved my sanity. And, remembering Nana’s words: “you’ve got to commence to gettin’ or get got,” healed my heart. I refuse to “Get Got.”
My self-discovery of self-love taught me to follow my intuition, give myself grace and allow myself room to just be. I am unapologetically me!

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?

Jump Into The Ring — Don’t Shy Away From Your Destiny — I realize that not everyone is a risk taker. But, you don’t know if you don’t try. Take that leap and figure out everything on the way down! When you rise up, you’ll have your confidence and your purpose in alignment. Confidence attracts partners. Confidence is critical in building wealth.
Be an unapologetic disruptor! Stand steadfast in your faith. You cannot be fully present in your life if you are preoccupied in your head.
Be connected to your body and soul to gain full access to your inner power. You must LOVE what you do and do what you LOVE.
