Today we’d like to introduce you to Dara Beitler.
Hi Dara, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
My path to interior design was through passion. Initially, I practiced as a speech-language pathologist specializing in acute medical adult swallowing and communication disorders.
Architecture and design were always passions of mine that I learned through hands-on experience and ongoing research. My clients and surroundings inspire me to create bespoke spaces. Creating spaces that captivate their personalities and ways of living are the reasons I now do what I do.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Navigating an interior design business through COVID-19 was such a journey! From onsite visits to supply chain issues to quality control issues, it all presented challenges throughout each design project.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Dara Beitler Interiors is an interior design company focusing on function, form, and aesthetics. I am an intuitive designer who wants to know how to help you and your family function and live best within your personal spaces. For me, combining a unique mix of genres in each project keeps it interesting and versatile.
Natural elements, mixing materials, and selecting colors that evoke emotions are a few of my favorite aspects of design. Functionality and spatial awareness are the footprints of my designs. My style stems from my lifelong love of vintage and antique pieces, while also mixing modern and contemporary vibes and natural elements.
So maybe we end by discussing what matters most to you and why?
I am a mother of two amazing children, a 9-year-old boy, and a 6-year-old girl. They make my world go round!
Spending quality time with my husband, family, and friends is everything to me. Not to mention health and happiness, too!
