Community Highlights: Meet Chase Lawrence of Chase Performance Training

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chase Lawrence.

Hi Chase, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey started by experiencing a college sports injury that changed my whole trajectory. I quickly changed my major from Business to Exercise Science, became a Strength and Conditioning coach, and earned a Master’s in Applied Health Physiology. This has inspired my passion for helping others prevent injury and reach their potential.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The process is never a smooth road. In 2013, I was diagnosed with appendiceal carcinomatosis. An incredibly rare form of cancer that starts in the appendix. Unfortunately, Stuart Scott, an ESPN legend, passed from the same type of cancer. I was lucky enough to be diagnosed in the early stages and had a laparoscopic HIPEC surgery that saved my life. This experience has allowed me to relate to others and help them attain and preserve a healthy lifestyle.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Chase Performance is a movement and performance center with a systemic approach to training. We use the most advanced science-based approach to attain the best possible result. The human condition is complex, so we merge movement training, recovery strategies, and nutrition to address your individual needs. This includes a staff of manual physical therapists, acupuncturists, and nutritionists. One size does not fit all: individualized goals, individualized fitness.

Do you have any advice for those just starting?
If I had any advice for people in my field, I would be to never stop learning and always be willing to listen.
