Check Out Terry Wedington (TSU TERRY)’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terry Wedington (TSU TERRY).

Terry Wedington (TSU TERRY)

Hi Terry, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m TSU Terry (Terry Wedington) — a choreographer, performer, and creative visionary proudly representing Baltimore. I specialize in Baltimore club dance and music, blending tradition with innovation to create high-energy performances that move crowds and uplift culture. I’m known for leading the TSU Dance Crew, producing viral choreography, and pushing Baltimore club movement to national stages — from festivals and concerts to TV features and even Fortnite, where my record “Roll Call” was officially added as an emote.

What I’m most proud of is how far we’ve taken Baltimore culture — not just dancing, but storytelling, discipline, and community impact. From teaching youth through dance programs like Dream Academy to building platforms for young talent, I’ve always been about more than just the spotlight — I’m about legacy.

What sets me apart is my authenticity, consistency, and creative direction. Every move, every step, every project I touch is deeply rooted in culture, passion, and purpose. I don’t just follow trends — I create waves.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. As the years pass, new challenges continue to arise—both as one of the faces of the Baltimore club dance scene and as the leader of my dance crew. I’ve learned that with patience and understanding, it’s possible to keep moving forward.

Being a leader means navigating many different personalities and dealing with the personal hardships others face. Sometimes, when it’s time to show up, not everyone can—and that’s just life. In those moments, I try to check in, connect people with resources, and find other ways to support those around me. For me, leadership isn’t just about guiding the dance it’s about helping people grow, on and off the floor.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is watching the New York Apollo Theater with my grandmother and telling her, “One day, I’m going to be on that stage.” Years later, I made that dream come true not once, but twice performing on the legendary Apollo Theater stage.
