Hi Stanley, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Sneaking out with spray paints have led to full mural works. Crayon doodles on napkins have turned in full color illustrations. Playing around in MS paint has turned into professional digital artworks. Ive loved art for as long as I could make it. Its the fuel to my fire and I burn bright. My oldest painting is almost 30 years old, and my newest painting is maybe 30 days old. I plan to create until my last breath.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I spent so many years getting my art to what I felt was a professional level, that once I got it there my business skills were lacking drastically. Now that I feel my art business skills are up to par I find my art has taken a hit. A constant cat and mouse of wanting to make better art and wanting to secure a more stable future in arts.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
If it can be made I make it! my Moto/Alias is AllRealThings. ART is anything you intend to be art, You can find it in all things and thus I seek to create it in all things. I paint in acrylic watercolors and rarely oils. I do mixed media works and I also enjoy sculpting. I prefer large scale works, currently I’ve done a little over 20 murals. I would say im most proud of my paintings and my murals. While im largely inspired by comics, anime, and pop culture , I feel my personal works have a much large focus and message. The glitter and the gold are always gonna be a sure fire way to spot my works in a crowd. Borderline gaudy I absolutely love a glow , shine and glimmer.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Cookies. Particularly snickerdoodle! I truly love a good baked good!
