Check Out Rebecca Brock’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Brock.

Hi Rebecca, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I married young, at just 19, and before I knew it, I was a mother of three – juggling bottles, bus rides, and back-to-back jobs with my husband. Life wasn’t easy, but through the exhaustion, we found moments of laughter and hope. We would dream late into the night about a future where we worked for ourselves and built something lasting.

In 2018, everything changed. I lost my husband, and suddenly, I was navigating life alone with three children, endless responsibilities, and the weight of figuring out adulthood all over again. Between school drop-offs, sport schedules, sick days, and full-time work, I felt like I was running on empty. But I was reminded not to stop everytime I looked at my kids eyes, they have my husband’s eyes. They all look just like him.

At the time, I was working as a Project Manager in a challenging (to say the least) work environment. It wasn’t easy, but I built strong, meaningful relationships with clients – people who saw my drive even when I was struggling myself to see it. They were the ones who encouraged me to take the leap and start my own business.

Three years later, that leap became my reality. Today, I proudly own a small outsourcing company – EfficientC Outsourcing. What began as survival has turned into strength and purpose. One of my biggest clients is a nonprofit organization and every day I am reminded of how far resilience, faith, and hard work can carry you.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There were nights I worked until sunrise after putting the kids to bed, and mornings that started with school drop-offs and client calls before I’d even had the chance to breathe. Every decision felt heavier because the failure wasn’t just about me – It affected three little lives that depended on me to make it work.

There were moment of deep doubt, when the bills piled up, the laptop froze mid-project, or a sick child meant missing meetings I could not afford to miss. I had to learn everything – from marketing and bookkeeping to staying confident in rooms where I felt invisible. There was no safety net, just pure determination and belief that I could build something better for family.

Those everyday struggles became my fuel. Every obstacle taught me resourcefulness. Every sleepness night strengthened my resolve. And every small win – a satisfied client, a paid invoice – reminded me that I was creating not just a business, but my family’s own little legacy of risilience and independence.
