Hi Julda, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Please introduce my self, name is julda nizwara artist illustrator and graphic design from bandung,indonesia west java.
I dig rather relying on simpleis a pen and ink on paper technic and black and white work iconic, aparently the layout of a to build medieval, occultic, surealism, folkloric, gothic, dark fantasy, sigil, magic.
Espicialy mostly my art style and came across like illustration of biblical and mythological figures groups against stark backdrops, His imagery transports biblical tales and ancient bible into dystopian and dadaisme, clockwork landscapes, as seen in his renowned Middleage ancient and traditional method.
My inspired artist : Pieter bruegel the elder, Salvador Dali, Gustave Doré, Roman Sustov, Harry Clarke, Ian Miller, Strange House, Justine Bartlett(VBERKVLT), William Blake, Richey Beckett, Aaron Horkey, Jesse Draxler Etc.
From local inspired artist and band : Kenji aka ken terror (Hark! It’s a Crawling Tar-Tar), Arian13 (Seringai), Fajar Allanda, Bahrull Marta, Bharata Danu Etc.
I was born 1994 in Bandung, a vibrant city located in the western part of Java Island, Indonesia. Bandung is renowned for its cool climate due to its elevation, sitting approximately 768 meters (2,520 feet) above sea level in the Bandung Basin.
Throughout its history, Bandung has been a center for arts and culture. Many talented artists and musicians have emerged from this city. One notable artist is Raden Saleh, a pioneering Indonesian painter known for his romantic and realistic artworks in the 19th century. In the contemporary scene, artists like Eko Nugroho and Heri Dono have gained international recognition for their innovative works in visual arts and installation art.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey to become an artist in Indonesia is very difficult and often unappreciated for growth out. because the Indonesian government does not support underdog artists like me to reach an international stage, I’d rather be an underdog artist than beg for support fucking goverment. I prefer to build many relationships within small artist collectives here and abroad, such as in Asia, Europe, and others.

I’m dark illustrator renowned for his haunting artwork. His distinctive style has earned him international recognition, particularly in the metal scene, where he has collaborated with bands like Frozen Soul, Mammoth Grinder and contributed to events such as Total Death Over Mexico Fest and collaboration Maternal Disaster, Native Skate UK, Vans Bmx, Swamp Florideah Swamp Fest Etc.
The last decade, has been invited to create artwork for Incantation from relapse record, Leviathan, Lamp of murmuur, Antichrist Siege Machine, Devil master, Ragana, Uniform, Mammoth Grinder, Dosdrit, Chat Pile, Kilat Besi Hitam, Inter Arma, Canabis Corpse. Dying Fetus, Anatomia Etc.
How do you define success?
Success as an artist can be defined as the achievement of personal and professional goals that bring fulfillment and recognition. It means creating work that resonates with others, pushing your creative boundaries, and staying true to your unique vision.
Success isn’t just about fame or financial gain; it’s about feeling satisfied with your artistic growth, making meaningful connections through your art, and continuously inspiring yourself to improve. Ultimately, success as an artist is when you feel proud of your work and know that you are expressing your true self through your art.
