Check Out Jennifer Ayana Harrison’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Ayana Harrison.

Hi Jennifer Ayana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Started out working in the field of counseling, personal, career-development and empowerment. However, ended up pursuing my predominant interest in natural healing and spirituality. For the past 45 years, I have worked with children, young adults, seniors, and others from diverse backgrounds. I always felt a human connection with those who I believed during that time were less fortunate. Most of my life experiences have come from my humble beginnings growing up in the inner city of East Baltimore public housing. Having this experience opened by mind to realize something better, a vision that included helping others along the way. Current and specific undertaking is promoting “Real Healthcare beings with Self Care” a concept with a program I created and development, which encourages individuals to become proactive in the overall care and maintenance of their health, emotional well-being, and spiritual growth.

As a certified Health and Wellness Coach and Sage, I recognize the importance of self-care as a major component in promoting real healing on all levels. I encourage my clients to focus mainly on their mental and emotional state, since it has been substantiated and associated with dis-easiness in the body, as well illnesses.

I also identify as an Independent Community Researcher Advocate representing and addressing the mental and physical health needs of underserved/vulnerable populations.

Currently, serve on 3 committees at Johns Hopkins, Chair Center to Reduce Cancer Disparities.

Member- Institute for Clinical and Translational Research- Community Research Advisory Council; Member- Community Advisory Board.

Member- University of Baltimore Patients Project- Community Research Think Tank Committee.

Author of 3 books, “Awakening Conversations with Self,” “What it Means to be Well; Mind, Body and Spirit,” “What’s in the Waiting.” CD “Meditations and Affirmations by Ayana.” Available for Private/group Coaching, health and well classes, meditation, and sound therapy.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Lack of Finances in promoting Wellness Campaign

Lack of volunteer help

Multi tasking

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am most proud of my private work with emotional release sessions and positive feedback received. Each session is personalized with no script, intuitively and spiritually guided.

I have been told by my clients I have a healing presence, which is very easy for one to relax and feel peaceful which allows them to open up freely.

I have a special interest in metaphysics earning a BA in Metaphysical Science from the University of Metaphysics Sedona, AR. I completed training in Mind Therapy from The Mindcare Organisation, Ltd.
