Check Out Isaiah Stephens’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaiah Stephens.

Hi Isaiah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Back in high school, I took a Digital Media Class that really opened my eyes to the world of photography, videography, and graphic design. I was especially keen to the photography aspect so that’s what I decided to focus on. Now, as a Double Major at the University of Tampa, every day I get to do what I love and learn how to expand upon my current skill set. Now, I’m continuing to build my network and business by working with other artists as well as getting involved with organizations. Shout out the ICE cold bruhs!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road by any means. I think there are a lot of people who want success overnight, but that’s just now how it works. Especially as an artist, some of the best qualities to possess are perseverance and tenacity. I remember many of times where I thought my work wasn’t good enough, or I wasn’t getting many clients throughout the week, and I still struggle with those things now. However, I know that if I take the slower times to master my craft, I can be sure to make the play on that next big opportunity that’s right around the corner.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in portrait photography (graduation shoots, weddings, personal promotion) as well as brand and personal promotion photography and videography (artists, products, venues). So far, being published in a magazine and having the opportunity to work with some truly great artists has been a blessing… but more than anything I’m most proud of the impact I’ve been able to have on my supporters over the past year. What really sets me apart is my care, attention to detail, and work ethic when it comes to working with my clients. I take the time to get to know everyone who works with me and treat them as family so I can give them the best, most authentic product possible. I feel that’s it’s key to build long-term relationships that can benefit both of us for years to come.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
More than anything, as I mentioned before, the most important thing as an artist is work ethic and understanding. I think we all have goals and dreams but the difference between those who achieve success and those who don’t is the quality time put it, and understanding to trust the process. Anyone can say they put the time in but ultimately it will show in your work and growth as an artist/ business. You can’t cheat the system, anything worth having takes hard work to achieve. Finally, remember that there is power in understanding. Y’all stay dizzy!
