Hi Devon, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m Devon Douglas, the founder of SCORE Media Company. With a background in creative marketing, videography, photography, and campaign strategy, I’ve channeled my passion for sports and storytelling into a dynamic sports media business.
My journey began with 19 years of competitive soccer, including youth leagues, college, and semi-professional play. This deep-rooted love for athletics, paired with my expertise in content creation, fuels my drive to highlight the beauty of sports and help teams and clubs showcase their talents to the world. After graduating from Towson University in 2022, I immersed myself in the sports industry, working as a digital marketer for organizations like Coppermine and Leveling the Playing Field (LPF) in Baltimore, Maryland.
During my professional career, I’ve had the privilege of working on media projects with notable names such as the Baltimore Ravens, US Lacrosse, and the Aberdeen IronBirds. These experiences allowed me to refine my skills in photography and videography.
Originally launched as SCORE Advertising Agency, my company struggled to attract clients. Despite persistent efforts, success seemed elusive until an inspirational athlete’s hype video sparked a revelation: I could do that, and even better. This insight led me to rebrand as SCORE Media Company, focusing on soccer and reaching out directly to players and teams. Within three months, my efforts paid off, with several high-profile players and numerous clubs in the Baltimore/DMV area coming on board. I’ve since collaborated on social media campaigns with high-following soccer pages like the UPSL (83k Instagram followers) and secured three monthly retainer clients. The media I’ve created for these clients has significantly boosted their social media engagement and generated numerous leads. For example, Tricko Fitness, a personal soccer training company, gained attention from Washington Spirit players thanks to videos I produced.
I’ve also worked with teams like Visions Select Baseball and the renowned Mack Lewis Boxing Gym in Baltimore, Maryland.
At SCORE Media Company, my mission is to capture the essence of sports through visually compelling content that celebrates achievements and inspires audiences. I’m eager to help more clubs and players tell their stories and bring their journeys to life in exciting new ways.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When SCORE Advertising Agency was launched, I encountered significant challenges in attracting clients. Despite my relentless efforts and outreach, success proved elusive, and securing clients was an uphill battle. A breakthrough moment came when I watched an inspirational athlete’s hype video and realized I could create something even better. This revelation prompted me to rebrand the company as SCORE Media Company, shift my focus to soccer, and directly connect with players and teams. This strategic pivot was a turning point, helping me navigate past initial obstacles and achieve success.
Nevertheless, running a business is an ongoing challenge. My goal now is to scale SCORE Media Company to secure five monthly retainer clients who pay more than my current full-time job, allowing me to fully work for myself. Continually attracting new clients and effectively marketing the company remains a persistent issue I am committed to overcoming.

Growing up as a high-level athlete, I bring a unique perspective that allows me to deeply relate to athletes and teams, capturing their essence with authenticity and insight. My expertise in photography and videography ensures that every piece of content is not only visually stunning but also resonates with the target audience. My ability to infuse each campaign with a brand’s unique personality has consistently led to a surge in engagement and success.
