Check Out Debbie Wojciechowski’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Debbie Wojciechowski.

Hi Debbie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
My name is Debbie Wojciechowski. I hold a Master of Science degree from Johns Hopkins University and  enjoyed a 25-year career in Federal Law Enforcement.
I am also a certified Evidential Medium. An Evidential Medium is an individual who is able to communicate with Spirit. This information can be unequivocally verified and is evidence of the human’s soul survival beyond this physical life.
I am a self-proclaimed “normal person” who possesses an unusual ability… the ability to connect with your loved ones on the “other side”. I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. My family is from Locust Point, an area known for its deep roots in the history of Baltimore as a shipping port. My metaphysical journey began at the age of 13, with a near-death experience.
Although I did not fully understand what was happening, until my early 20’s. By the age of 23, I had lost both parents and most relatives. I was also involved in another close brush with death when I was involved in a serious car accident. I began asking, rather rhetorically, “Where did everyone go?’ I soon began to get the answers in a way I never expected!
From that point on, I began a personal journey to study and learn more about my gift. For years, I worked and studied extensively with local and international Mediums, and learned the traditions of the Spiritualist Church of Great Britain. Although training/accreditation is not required in the U.S., I obtained formal certification as both a Medium and a Master Teacher. This certification required testing under strict parameters regarding my Mediumship abilities.
Even though my awareness and understanding of metaphysical abilities grew, I concurrently pursued a more traditional career in Federal Law Enforcement, and I hold a Master of Science degree from Johns Hopkins University. Following 25 years of career in law enforcement, I decided to pursue my gift and passion as a Medium on a full-time basis.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of my favorite sayings is, “Occasionally-once or twice in a lifetime if you are lucky-you encounter an idea so powerful in its implications that it unsettles the ground you walk on.” Robert McFarlane.
Although I really enjoyed my career in federal law enforcement,  I knew “something” was missing in my life. I progressively began to acknowledge and accept confirmation from Spirit, that working with Spirit was my Life path and my purpose.
The readings seemed to fill a void in me and made me feel more connected, not only to Spirit but with the clients with whom I shared the information that came to me. I felt fortunate to have had the opportunity to study with an internationally known and respected Medium, Lisa Williams.
As I shifted the focus of my life toward further development of my Mediumship ability, I felt increased connection, confirmation, and clarity, that THIS is what I’m meant to do!
Since my background in law enforcement also included extensive work in the area of mental health and crisis counseling, I often draw on my background with grief and loss during sensitive readings.  I am aware of the delicate nature of some readings, and believe it is important to deliver messages in a respectful manner.  I now understand these were stepping stones to my journey as a Medium.
Also, my law enforcement experience coupled with my Mediumship ability has given me the “tools” to work on cold cases and missing person investigations.
There are no coincidences..
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I currently hold large Mediumship Events at various Theater’s/Venues in the tri state area.
At the Events, I give random readings to audience members, to include specific details, such as their personality traits, characteristics, etc. This can be confirmed by the recipient or a 3rd party.  Attending an event is a great experience to learn about the fascinating world of Mediumship!
In addition, I am involved with several ongoing projects, including, The University of Virginia for the study of Near Death Experiences and Paranormal Phenomena, and an ongoing study with a renowned University to study individuals with Mediumship abilities.
I am also excited to share that my manager and I recently self-published a book, “This is a Test, This is a Test, This is a Test”; This Medium’s Path, Debbie Wojciechowski with Wendy Miller. The book sales are great!
I am aware that my work as a Medium is “different”. And, I respect that not everyone is a “believer” in Mediumship. Everyone has a right to their own beliefs. However, I do believe Mediumship is much more accepted than several years ago.
From a personal point of view, I feel more people are searching for answers and a connection to the “other side”. People want to know “What happens when we die?” As stated by my mentor, Lisa Williams, Don’t let your beliefs or opinions stop you from exploring growth and healing opportunities. An open mind can reap incredible rewards!
I remain humbled and grateful to the amazing people I’ve met on this journey and who trusted me to share messages from their loved ones…
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
“This life is a test-it is only a test. If it had been an actual life, you would have received further instructions on where to go and what to do. Remember, this life is only a test”- Jack Kornfield.
I did not come to this work I do as a Medium willingly.   For a long time, I pushed this ability aside, denied it, and tried to avoid it.
Perhaps in part because I knew, even early on, that there is a tremendous responsibility involved with sharing mediumship messages, giving messages from deceased loved ones in spirit treads on the vulnerable territory. Readings must always be delivered with the consideration shown for the heart and soul of the person receiving the reading.
Beyond the issue of accountability, it was just strange! I did not know why this was happening to me and I did not know if I wanted this ability. But, Spirit has other ideas! Strange things kept happening that inexorably pushed and propelled me into stepping into my destiny.  The  work I do now with Spirit, I believe is my life’s purpose.  And, I am truly grateful!
As for many of us, there have been many twists and turns in my journey.  I believe the many obstacles I had to face on my journey, including  the loss of my patents at an early age, the near death experience, etc. were important tests placed on my journey regarding some of the lessons that I needed to learn.
This is not to say that other people do not also have pain, grievous loss, heartache; we all at times must  bear these difficult aspects of life that make us humble, remind us of our frailties as human beings.  We all carry scars that no one else can see.  In your day-to-day interactions, you have no way of knowing what burden they may be carrying.
As many of my clients have heard me say, ‘You never know who you are talking to”…
Everyone has a story!
