Hi David, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story is really a story of turning chaos into creation.** I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, in a Haitian-American family, and life challenged me early. I didn’t have a traditional path—I left high school before graduating and had to figure out how to survive, grow, and create my own opportunities.
Music became one of the biggest outlets for me. I’ve been making music for more than 20 years, performing, touring, and building my own independent platform. Along the way, I’ve worked different jobs, including in professional kitchens and at major corporate locations, while continuing to develop myself as an artist and entrepreneur. I’ve also had opportunities in entertainment, including acting and commercial work.
What really changed things for me was realizing that I didn’t just want to participate in other people’s systems—I wanted to **build my own**. That led me to create **Chaos Field Theory (CFT)**, my own creative and philosophical framework, and eventually expand that into books, websites, technology concepts, music, gaming, and other projects.
Today, I see myself as more than just a musician. I’m an independent artist, author, entrepreneur, and creator building an entire ecosystem around my ideas. I’ve learned that your circumstances don’t have to define your destination. **Everything I went through became data, and I used that data to create something new.**
I’m still building, and honestly, I feel like I’m just getting started. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. My journey has included some serious challenges that could have easily changed the direction of my life.
One of the biggest was when I was hit by a car and suffered a traumatic brain injury that required a **craniotomy and brain surgery**. I was in a coma and had to fight my way back physically and mentally. That experience changed the way I looked at life. It made me realize how quickly everything can change and how important it is to make something meaningful out of the time you have.
I’ve also been through other accidents and physical setbacks, including being hit by a vehicle again more recently. There have been periods where I was dealing with pain, recovery, financial pressure, and personal challenges all at the same time.
Beyond the physical struggles, I’ve had to overcome difficult circumstances from my childhood, growing up in Brooklyn and having to mature and survive at a young age. I left high school before graduating and took a path that was far from conventional. I’ve made mistakes, faced consequences, experienced loss, and had moments where I honestly didn’t know what the next chapter would look like.
Building a career as an independent artist has brought its own challenges. I’ve had projects taken down, business setbacks, financial limitations, and plenty of moments where I had to believe in an idea before anyone else could see it.
But those experiences are actually a huge part of why I created **Chaos Field Theory**. I began looking at my life differently: the trauma, the accidents, the failures, the relationships, the victories—all of it was data. Instead of allowing those experiences to break me, I started using them as fuel for creativity and innovation.
I’m not proud of every obstacle I’ve faced, but I’m proud that I survived them.** Today, I’m taking everything I learned and turning it into music, books, technology, entrepreneurship, and new ideas. My story isn’t about having a perfect journey. It’s about continuing to evolve after life knocks you down.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I consider myself a multidisciplinary artist and creator. Music was where everything started for me. I’ve been writing and making music for more than 20 years, performing, recording, touring, and building independently without waiting for someone else to give me permission to create. My music is rooted in my life experiences—growing up in Brooklyn, overcoming adversity, relationships, survival, ambition, and the constant process of reinventing myself.
Over time, I realized that my creativity extended far beyond music. I began developing **Chaos Field Theory (CFT)**, an original framework that combines my ideas about chaos, patterns, human experience, creativity, technology, and the way people process information. That led me into writing books, developing digital platforms, creating concepts for games and entertainment, and experimenting with technology and artificial intelligence.
What I’m most proud of is that I’ve been able to **build an entire creative ecosystem from my own experiences and imagination**. I’m not simply creating individual songs or projects—I’m creating worlds, concepts, characters, technology ideas, and intellectual property that can connect across different forms of media.
I’ve also had opportunities outside of music, including acting and commercial work, and I’ve worked professionally in the culinary industry. Those experiences taught me how to work under pressure, understand different industries, and continue creating even when life gets difficult.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect things that people normally keep separate. **Music, science, philosophy, technology, storytelling, entrepreneurship, and my personal experiences all become part of the same creative process for me.**
I’m especially proud that after everything I’ve survived—including serious accidents, brain surgery, career setbacks, and personal challenges—I’m still creating. I didn’t allow those experiences to become the end of my story. I turned them into fuel.

What does success mean to you?
I define success differently than I did when I was younger. At one point, I thought success was mainly about money, recognition, and proving yourself to other people. Today, I see it as something much bigger.
Success is being able to turn what you’ve been through into something that has value.
I’ve survived experiences that could have completely changed the course of my life, including a traumatic brain injury, brain surgery, accidents, personal struggles, and periods where I had to rebuild myself from the ground up. So for me, simply being here, still creating, and still having the ability to dream is already a form of success.
Professionally, success means building something that belongs to me—my music, my books, my ideas, my businesses, and my intellectual property—and creating opportunities for myself instead of waiting for someone else to validate me.
But ultimately, I want my success to go beyond myself. I want my children and the people who come across my story to see that your starting point doesn’t determine your ending. You can go through chaos and still create something beautiful from it.
My biggest definition of success is legacy. If I can leave behind music that people remember, ideas that people study, businesses that create opportunities, and a story that inspires somebody who feels like they’ve been counted out, then I consider that success.
