
Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Ella.
Hi Cynthia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My nameis Cynthia Ella, Iama 30-year-old woman born in France on May 3rd, 1992, in a small city named Evreux located not too far from Paris in the Department of Normandie.Iam a French Entrepreneur, founder and owner of Ella Branding Agency a branding solution for smallbusinessowners and Kurl Hypes Natural Wash & Care, specialized in natural care and cosmetics for all beauty. In 2023, I was the business developer and chief brand officer of my own companies.
About my education, I achieved a master’s degree in business with the University of Montpellier in 2022, after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in international Trade business in 2019. I also obtain an associate degree and I graduate in Sales and Marketing in 2013.
In 2016, I made a big turn. I decided to quit my job and to live my life with purpose because I wasn’t in the right place to grow anymore. I didn’t have anything to lose excepting learning from experience. Although I was a settled full-time manager working for a popular French flagship, at 24 years old only, I felt somewhat like I always had to prove myself in my workplace and it was never enough. I felt misunderstood, not taken into account, and the worst part for me was that my job was not fitting into my big ambitions. In the meantime, few companies weren’t willing to open qualified jobs for young people, and when the opportunities were presented to me it was because of my burnout. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road was not smooth, and I have been discouraged many times. The first big challenge was my education. In 2016, I tried to go back to school to earn more skills. To me it was the only option to get the opportunities I deserved. One of my classmates nicely arranged an interview with a banking school in order to help me out pursuing my studies. I finally came back from to this 15 minutes interview completely stunned. My school application was denied by the school director. I was in tears but I couldn’t lose hope. The Second big challenge was the fear to regress. Although, I don’t have anything against working for a flagship. It taught me a lot, and my high proficiency is mainly coming from all of these stores experiences. I did not want to spend my life in this working environment. I needed to travel and get a chance to expand my knowledges as well. I had many disappointments during career that I could relate here, therefore, I have no regrets and this experience brought me here I am and helped me out in improving my self-esteem. Today, I have the courage to run and open companies that helped women and men to believe in their dreams.
After starting my business, I stopped fearing rejection and I became fearless. I earn every day with my work consistency, creativity and determination. I have been helping more than a hundred entrepreneurs stepping up with their project with the same mindset. I developed their marketing platforms and I provided a temporary selling point where small businesses can expose their goods to the public.
When you start a business, every day is a challenging day.
Especially, when you want to give your best to others. You need to be available and understand that you can quit a 9 to 5 today and start working for yourself 24/24. It’s your business. It’s your opportunity and you always have to give your best to have real outcomes. I think that nothing is better than achieving your personal ideas and to know that you are really changing someone’s life. People are literally giving you strength because they believe in you so you are no longer thinking about the big challenges that you are facing, instead you are focusing on the success.
In 2016, after spending time away from everything including my workplace environments. I decided that I wouldn’t let anyone have a negative impact on me and underestimate my abilities. I worked hard to help small businesses, and I kept doing my best for others. Positivity is my mantra. With my Agency, I want others to be successful, inspired and to feel supported as well.
Last year, my husband and I participated in providing spaces with a series of Pop-up shop Events. We have reunited entrepreneurs together, like minded individuals in our creative space. We all had the same goal: get supported, get visibility, share creativity, offer opportunities, love each other and also accept that there is no perfect time to get in. My Branding Agency operates since 2021 offering affordable branding and digital solutions.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I work and produce all my projects myself. I have been personnaly in the situation where I needed this extra help. Today, I want to serve others in order for them to have a better understanding of their business, improve their image and customer service. Developing a business is very expensive. So, I offer a real transformation from an online platform, a simple idea to a business ready to go. I support and find solutions which help beginners in starting with their projects.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
About challenges like Covid crisis, It reminded us that we have to take care of each other and to always be kind. I learned that you have to do something that makes yourself happy first because nothing is promised and that you can only trust what you create. Your passion can bring your very far and my passion has be making me live and fulfilled until now.
Millions of the entrepreneur and I get started with creating their business during this hard time. We needed to feel your passion excited.The pandemic, allowed myself to have an extra free time and to be focus on my own projects. I also learned to help more people by experiencing my own business development. I started my first handcrafted collection with my hair care brand, Kurl Hypes Natural Wash & Care which specializes in Natural Care and Cosmetics. I ran Pop-up shop events in the middle of the crisis and I made people discover my unique products. Since then I have elaborated a Design Beauty Box which contains four essential products needed for a healthier hair routine only because self-care matters. We realized the impact and beneficence of personal care for people’s wellness as well providing them healthier products. During the crisis break, we promoted the best products to reveal and maintain your true beauty in our blog.
In 2023, we were thinking bigger, and we want to see our brand accessible in every nearby store. We believe that Kurl Hypes is a brand that inspires others to become better, to value self-care and healthier cosmetics. The big lesson for us is that economic inequality exists in the world for that we want to support the population of women who is mostly targeted. Our brand promotes empowerment, a big challenge that is faced every day.
