Hi Coco, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
St. Anthony’s Bridal’s mission is to provide beautiful wedding gowns to brides at affordable prices. We strive to create a friendly, fun and stress-free experience for our clients. Our engaged community includes past brides who have blessed the new brides with their dresses, our all volunteer staff, and our wonderful new brides!
Our volunteer staff loves to see the magic unfold as a bride tries on one of our many gowns and finds just the right one for her special day! There are not always tears, but there is definitely a look on her face that tells everyone that she is about to say YES to THE DRESS!!
We rely on generous donors for our gowns, and we especially rely on our volunteers who show up for a morning or afternoon on Saturdays to help out our brides! No experience or time commitment is required to be a volunteer – just a happy and fun attitude that will support our brides at this joyous time!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Helping brides find their special wedding gown is so much fun, and it is very satisfying to see a bride happy and thankful that she can find a beautiful dress for $225 or less! The challenge of providing a lovely shop with over 500 dresses to choose from is recruiting volunteers to help us keep the shop open for the brides! We are currently just open on Saturdays between 10am – 3pm, and by special appointment during the week. Our volunteers can help as little or as often as they like, so we are very flexible and accommodating, but life is busy in NOVA, and commitments are hard to come by (ha, just ask our brides :)) Kidding aside, the volunteers we do have are awesome and dedicated, and we appreciate that some are retired, some are still working and just have fun working with our varied clientele, and some are young and help us keep the shop relevant!

St. Anthony’s Bridal is known for being a VERY low stress and fun wedding shopping experience! Since none of the staff get paid, we are really there to support the brides and give truthful feedback on her gown selection journey! We also have so many gowns, and they are all 10 years or younger, so our brides have quite a variety of styles to choose from. Often bridal shops are just carrying the hot trend of the moment, and it may not be to everyone’s taste; at St. Anthony’s we have something for everyone! It’s also a great first wedding dress shop to start at so you can figure out what looks good on you, which styles you like, etc., and if you can find it for $225 or less, we are so happy for you – if you don’t find a dress you LOVE, we tell you to go someplace else and find that dress!!
