Check Out Christina Piper’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Piper.

Hi Christina , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve always loved hair, not just as a style, but as a form of confidence and self-expression. In 2015, I began working part-time in a salon while still holding a full-time job, and that experience completely changed me. The more I learned, the more I realized that this wasn’t just a hobby — it was my calling.

I invested in my skills, education, and vision even before I knew exactly where it would lead. I made sacrifices, studied relentlessly, and leaned into every opportunity to grow. That passion ultimately became my purpose. In 2023, I opened my own business, PIPER HAIR, to bring that purpose to life. Since then, I’ve focused not just on creating beautiful hair, but on uplifting women — helping clients walk out of my chair feeling seen, confident, and more like themselves.

What started as a part-time job became a career built on intention, hard work, and love for this industry — and I’m just getting started.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting a business is uncomfortable by nature. You’re constantly stepping into the unknown without guarantees.

One of the hardest parts for me has been taking risks without knowing the outcome. Investing time, money, and energy into something before you see the return. There are days when things feel slow, when you question yourself, when the momentum isn’t obvious. That mental side of entrepreneurship can be heavier than people realize.

I’ve learned that persistence matters more than motivation. You don’t always feel like showing up — but you show up anyway. You build discipline. You build belief. You create your own sense of progress when external validation isn’t there yet.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a hairstylist, but at the core of my work, I’m an educator.

Behind the chair, I specialize in effortless, dimensional color and healthy, low-maintenance results that grow out beautifully. My focus is always on creating hair that feels elevated yet wearable — hair that fits seamlessly into real life. What truly defines my work, though, is what happens beyond the appointment.

I specialize in at-home hair care and styling education — teaching women how to properly wash their hair, care for their scalp, and style efficiently in a way that supports their lifestyle. I offer online education as well as one-on-one styling lessons for clients who want personalized guidance. My goal is to give women the tools and confidence to manage their hair between visits — to enjoy the process of getting ready and feel empowered by the time they spend on themselves.

I truly believe beauty starts internally. When a woman understands her hair and feels confident in the decisions she’s making, that confidence carries into every other area of her life. I’m most proud of building something that goes beyond a single appointment — combining artistry with education so my clients feel supported throughout their entire hair journey.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Resilience.

I’ve learned how to keep going when things are difficult, to adapt, and to move forward without letting setbacks define the outcome. That mindset has allowed me to keep building, even when the path wasn’t always clear.
