Check Out Candace Willett’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Candace Willett. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Candace Badru Willett is a Mom, Wife, Evangelist, Author, and Powerful Prayer Intercessor.

She has accomplished much already in her life: entrepreneur (owning her own Day Care Facility, Maryland Notary Republic), educational accomplishment in Massage Therapy and so much more.

In life, we all experience different levels of trauma.

It is our responsibility to engage in the process of healing and then helps others to do likewise. Candace is a living testament to just that and she has worked with teens for the past 10 years in Baltimore City to overcome childhood molestation, domestic violence, and much more trauma that an inner city child shouldn’t have to face alone by being a positive mentor, voice, and much more.

Being a native of Baltimore, she has used her experiences and her life to serve as a catalyst for change and an agent of transformation for others.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Insert laugh, a smooth ride I wouldn’t dare say this has been a smooth ride. A lot of obstacles begin when I was just a child being molested by family and being raped as an adult set up by so-called friends that I trusted cost me my daycare in 2017 with false allegations against me for child abuse, neglect, and a slew of other charges. But to GOD BE THE GLORY I have survived many assassination attacks on my character and life.

Can you imagine wanting to save the youth and young adults from the Generational Curses we as a culture have head behind the “What happens in my home stays in home” myth and logic only to find out we have a lot of healing that must take place in our lives as adults? So no my purpose in life has cost me a significant amount of grief and pain. But my life goal is to keep preserving through it all.

My purpose is to be for the youth what the world wasn’t for me A VOICE.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a bold lover of Christ and use my evangelistic background to lead and direct me to many communities where trauma has pledged our streets. In the last, five or so years I have hosted numerous safe street walks to bring awareness to our youth and young adults providing them with resources for mental health, drug abuse, domestic violence, and of course sexually abused women and children.

We have partnered with Healthy Teens and Young adults and Maryland Health Department to sign our future leaders up with counseling services along with prevention of teen pregnancy. My life is an open book as a minister witnessing to those on the corners and outside of the church walls that wouldn’t typically step foot into a religious building.

Candace is all about teaching others how to preserve as the Bible states in Jeremiah 29:11 which is a scripture that she has developed and built her own entrepreneurial skills around. My work is simply to bring as many people to Christ as they are and allow them to develop a strong spiritual relationship within their beliefs instead of accepting religion as another form of daily routine.

Any big plans?
Well, I’m currently studying for my Doctorate in Theology, my goal and future plan is to be the best realistic Pastor anyone of any walk of life can feel comfortable enough to say they are a Believer and have established their own relationship that will stand on a Fruitful Foundation and live an abundant life.

We are looking to launch our prayer calls monthly and provide workshops on a better future and life by constantly ministering to those that are lost souls or even those that need to return to the body of Christ. And someday we will have transitional housing available to those that have left home and have nowhere to go for food or shelter.
