Check Out Anima Okai-Aryeetey’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anima Okai-Aryeetey

Hi Anima, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Started of as an Event Planning Company previously known as Ghanaba’s Event. In the passing of my Brothers I decided to rebrand and launch , by using their names. That’s where ZACHI MAX EVENTS CAME ABOUT. Zachi( Zachary, Max( Maxwell) and then the events. But my events was heading towards just the club seen . Promoting, create Fashion shows and I needed with no profit so a friend asked if I could branch out into the wedding seen. Took that advice and ran with it. I’m forever grateful. So I shortened ZACHIMAXEVENTS INTO zmeweddings . And that’s how zmeweddings came about.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of Course being an Entrepreneur and being black owned business hasn’t been an easy road. Everyone wants things for free or cheaper . And for a while I kept doing it in order to build clientele and still was struggling to make ends meet. But when favor is upon you nothing can stop you from shining. Year by Year, gradually started gaining traction towards my business which has brought me where I am today. Not where I need to be but as a company I believe I’ve done well for myself. Lost friendships along the way , but God replaced those friends with clients that now hire me to even decorate.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am know for the Day of Coordinator. Hands down one of DMV’s Finest. I am not the best but I believe my hands are bless. Especially when situations happens at an event I’m able to handle every aspect. I’m remembered by how I solve situations at an event. And Calming people down in the midst of Chaos.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see My industry growing bigger and bigger. In the world of weddings. Every day someone is getting proposed to. So if I could get 4-5 clients a month that will boost my business and helping me and the company open the venue we aspire to open.
