Check Out Alicia Charmaine’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicia Charmaine. 

Hi Alicia, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my own brand ATTRACT Don’t Chase by Alicia Charmaine. It’s very dear to me because oftentimes, people suffer from unnecessary stress just by holding on or trying to hold on to something or someone that was never meant to be. In my spiritual journey, I’ve learned there’s really a gift in goodbye. Humans get so caught up in “WHAT IF” what could’ve or should’ve happened. Noooooo let it all go. Trust in the universe & rest assured anything meant for you can never pass you by. I got to this place of peace after having toxic relationships with folk. I started loving myself more, I started reading more, I started working out every day, I started praying & meditating more and I FOUND MYSELF! This year 2021 has been the year of the awakening for me! It has been the year of alignment. I trust the process & timing of my life. I know for sure I went through the same things over and over again until I learned The LESSON! There’s always a reason we experience highs & lows. Everything is a test. It’s a lesson & a blessing…. ATTRACT Don’t Chase Simply means don’t chase after a thing or a person. Whatever is for you, is always for you. When you do better, you become better, therefore you ATTRACT BETTER! Alongside my brand, I have a vegan matte lipstick line consisting of 14 colors at the moment. My line is simply named after me ALICIA CHARMAINE! I’ve loved lipstick since I was about 4 years old, my aunt had so much Avon around the house & my mom had Mary Kay so I would sneak & play dress up and wear lipstick. Growing up my relatives always spoiled me, dressed me up nice, host house parties & I’d always get compliments. I always felt beautiful and still do, even after having 5 beautiful children and I’m in the best shape, I’ve ever been in. I was never into a full glamorous face, but I’ve always had a passion for a good lippie💋 After wasting money on countless colors and finishes, getting compliments on my lipstick, and referring everyone to other retailers, I decided to start my very own line with brilliant colors with long-lasting wear. I literally work out in the gym with my lipstick & it stays in place. I never leave home without it. Some say diamonds are a girl’s best friend, Welllllll I beg to differ, It’s a good lipstick for me 💋 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The road has been a little smoother. I can’t complain too much. The only struggle I have at times is trying to find some balance and knowing when to rest. I have to balance my personal life, mom life, entrepreneur life, personal training for myself and my clients, and being motivational for those watching and looking up to me. So many people write me to tell me how much I inspire them and it pushes me to go harder. I know I must rest to be productive and efficient. To whom much is given, much is required. 

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Currently, I’m a single mom of 5. I am a life-changing coach, personal trainer, and the CEO of my brand. I was laid off due to the pandemic and it actually pushed me to be great. I never really cared to be an employee of an established company. I always wanted to do my own thing. I was homeschooling my children and made the choice to reinvest in myself and go after the things I love. I am really big on fitness, eating & drinking right! I train in the gym Monday through Friday. I am a distributor of ALKALINE LYFE WATER, a distributor for TLC (Health/Life-changing products) and I have my online store for men’s and women’s tee (at the moment) and my vegan matte lipstick line. 

I am most proud of changing my life for the better. 

What sets me apart from others is being myself! My aura, my energy, my vibe, my momentum‼️ Who do you know, workouts in their own brand, wearing their own lipstick, sells the best water, health products, inspires others, full-time mom of 5 & has a natural body transformation just from remaining consistent? I’m dedicated! I work hard, I’ve came A LONG WAY……. 

Side note: all of my vegan matte colors are named after someone special in my family. 

Hattie Mae is named after my late grandmother whose favorite color is green 

Camilla is my mom who loved wearing black lipstick when I was little. I remember as a child. My mom was known for her BLACK! 

Boobie is my nickname it’s one of my signature colors giving you a bubble gum pink 

Aleese is a fuchsia color named after my 3yr old daughter 

Arcieri is my oldest daughter and her color was established by her favorite color and her late dad who passed in a fatal crash rushing to the Ravens game (purple) 

Dash is a yellow color named after my Shih Tzu who is 11years old 

Ashton is my 7yr old son and his color is gray fitting his name Ashton 

Brandon is a dark purplish/ gray it’s beyond beautiful and Brandon is my firstborn, he’s 17yrs old. 

Alasdair is my 5 yr. old his favorite color is blue. His name means the Defender of ManKind! The color is rich and vibrant! 

There’s a story behind every color 💋

I love to make people feel good. I love helping others. I also love my quiet time, family time, lipstick & great music…. OMG MUSIC IS MY LIFE
