Today we’d like to introduce you to Alena Ciera. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Alena Ciera is a Pop Artist, Guitarist, and Actor from the Maryland area. She started playing guitar at the age 6 and professionally started performing at the age of 17. Since then, she has collaborated and played for David Byrne’s American Utopia, Yolanda Adams, Cee Lo Green, Lil Maceo, Beladona, and many more. She has performed at The St. James Theater on Broadway, Birdland, Snally Gaster Festival, The National Stadium, the Eagle Arena, The Capitol Jazz cruise, and many more. Alena got to where she is today by a lot dedication, practice, and ambition. Being a professional entertainer is always what she wanted to do since she was a little girl but making that dream into a reality has been one of the greatest accomplishments of them just yet.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road trying to make my dreams come true as professional entertainer. Some of the struggles along the way that I had faced was the doubt not only from myself but from my family. People always telling me that I need to have a backup plan. Not having the funds to get certain gear that I needed and or just being around the wrong people that didn’t want to go anywhere outside of their hometown. I’ve always seen bigger and better for myself when it came to being a performer, I had to take it upon myself to step out of my comfort zone in order for me to really see what I was capable of and how much more opportunities were out there for me.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Professional Artist, Guitarist, and Actor. I specialize in the Entertainment Industry, and I am known for being an upcoming Artist, Guitarist, and Actor in the DMV area. I am most proud of almost finishing my first EP that will be coming out this year May 12th and for performing on The David Byrnes American Utopia Show on Broadway. What sets me apart from others is just the originality of my music and just me as an overall humble person.
