We recently had the chance to connect with Violet Anibaba and have shared our conversation below.
Violet, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
People sometimes misunderstand what truly goes into creating our experiences. They see the final setup… the beautiful drinks, the décor, the smiles… but don’t realize the level of planning, sourcing, setup, and coordination it takes behind the scenes. It’s not “just mocktails and Hors d’oeuvres” It’s an intentional, curated experience that blends hospitality, aesthetics, and storytelling.
Each event requires a deep level of time, care, and dedication. I carry every celebration like it’s my own. From late nights researching inspiration to carefully refining every detail so that the end result not only meets but exceeds our clients’ expectations. What looks effortless on event day is really the product of passion, preparation, and a commitment to creating moments that feel truly special.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Violet Anibaba, the founder and creative mind behind Millemonts Services where we turn ordinary gatherings into beautifully curated experiences through signature mocktails, and bespoke hors d’oeuvres setups.
Millemonts started from my love for hosting and creating moments that make people feel truly celebrated. I’ve always believed that great events aren’t just about what you see, they’re about what you feel. That belief is at the heart of everything we do.
What makes Millemonts special is the level of intentionality and care that goes into each event. I carry every celebration like it’s my own. From late nights researching fresh ideas to perfecting the small details that make a big impact. Our mocktails aren’t just “non-alcoholic drinks”; they’re crafted experiences that bring elegance, inclusivity, and joy to any occasion.
Right now, we’re focused on expanding our reach while staying true to that personal touch our clients love. Whether it’s an intimate gathering or a large-scale celebration, my goal is always the same: to create moments people will remember long after the last glass is poured.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationships that has shaped me the most is my relationship with my Husband, children and my mother.
My husband and children reflect my best qualities back to me and challenge me to grow every day. Through their love, support, and even the everyday chaos, I’ve learned patience, resilience, and the kind of unconditional love that has reshaped how I see myself. They remind me of what truly matters, and because of them, I strive to be the best version of myself.
My mom always modeled resilience, creativity, and strength even when things weren’t easy. Watching how she navigated life taught me that excellence doesn’t mean perfection; it means showing up with grace, resourcefulness, and heart. Her influence is woven into how I approach my work and relationships. My mother is the reason I value hospitality, presentation, and making people feel cared for. A lot of Millemonts’ DNA comes from those lessons I absorbed growing up.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell myself: “It’s okay to take up space, trust your ideas, and believe in your worth.”
When I first started Millemonts, I hesitated to fully invest in my vision. I worried about charging clients what my services were truly worth, competing with more established businesses, or taking risks that could fail financially. I often compared myself to others and questioned whether I was “ready” to run a business that aimed to create experiences people would remember for a lifetime.
Looking back, I’d remind myself that my creativity, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality were not just talents, they were assets. I’d tell myself that confidence and action matter as much as talent. Every hour spent experimenting with mocktail recipes, designing menu boards or planning immersive events wasn’t just work. It was building a reputation, a brand, and a legacy.
I’d also tell my younger self that it’s okay to fail along the way. Every challenge, financial setback, or last-minute event hiccup isn’t a reflection of inadequacy — it’s part of learning, refining, and growing stronger. If I had believed in myself sooner, I could have embraced opportunities faster, trusted my instincts more, and celebrated small wins along the way instead of worrying about perfection.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
I rely most on Jesus’ ideas and principles. My faith isn’t just personal, it shapes how I run Millemonts and how I approach every event. It reminds me to lead with integrity, humility, and generosity, and to see my work as more than a business but as a way to bring joy, connection, and memorable experiences to others.
In addition to this are my cultural values. And one value I protect above all else is genuine hospitality and care. I want every client and guest to feel seen, valued, and celebrated. It’s not just about creating beautiful setups; it’s about crafting experiences that feel intentional and heartfelt. For example, when I design a mocktail menu or curate a display, I spend hours thinking about how it will make people feel. The small touches, the personalizations, the little details that can turn an ordinary moment into something unforgettable.
Faith and hospitality work hand-in-hand in my business. They guide every decision, from how I communicate with clients to how I inspire my team to go the extra mile. That combination ensures Millemonts isn’t just delivering events we’re creating moments people will remember long after the celebration ends.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I see an event come together. When the setup, décor, and experiences reflect the care and intention we put into every detail, and the clients and guests are genuinely delighted. It’s a quiet satisfaction that comes from knowing the hard work behind the scenes paid off and that I’ve created something meaningful. I also feel peace in moments of reflection…early mornings or late nights… thinking about how far I’ve come and what’s ahead.
