We’re looking forward to introducing you to Victoria Wade. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Victoria, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I’m usually woken up by my cats, Miyako and Catwick, scratching at my door before my alarm goes off because they need to eat haha. I can always count on them to make sure I’m up. Once I feed them and my dog, bloo, I turn on cbs mornings and make a cup of coffee. While the coffee is brewing, I do my morning skincare routine which features Beekman 1802 and Japanese skincare I picked up during my travels last summer and have added to my routine ever since! After doing this and brushing my teeth, I get dressed in my clothes for the day and I’m so fortunate that I can dress casually for work so the skies the limit. Once I’m dressed I make a quick breakfast and drink my coffee, I walk the dog and head on off to work!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Victoria, a content creator, storyteller, and theme park enthusiast with a passion for travel, reading, fashion, and lifestyle. I use all of these as a creative outlet in my everyday life to spread joy and inform others through my most authentic self. I aim to create content that feels honest, fun, and relatable.
What makes my brand unique is the heart behind it ! I run races in honor of my late mother to support cancer research with the American Cancer Society, and I’ve built a platform rooted in joy, vulnerability, and real connection. I pride myself on speaking out about what’s in my heart, championing inclusivity and diversity, and creating a space where everyone feels seen and welcomed.
Right now, I’m training for the Disneyland Halloween 10K and Disney Princess races, planning holiday content for Halloween (catch me at Jollywood Nights, Knott’s Spooky Farm, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and more!) and continuing to partner with brands that align with my values and storytelling style.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I feel it was my mom. As a mother, I’d imagine you see your child for who they truly are at a young age. My mom always encouraged any new trait about me. She always encouraged my reading by buying every book I wanted but also encouraged me to try new things. In the end, I feel she saw the person I would be become in the end, even if she isn’t here now to see the results
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There’s sadly been a few times I’ve wanted to give up in my early 20s. I openly have shared my struggles with moderate depression and it’s affected me. Taking me to dark places but I’m very grateful that i managed to bring myself from the brink on my own and with support.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
I would say it’s a watered down version of me. While I will say the public version of me is truly who you see in person. I am very private about my personal life and the people in it. I’ve only recently hard launched my own dad after 8 years of content creation haha! I also keep some of my special interests to myself so I can have things to enjoy that isn’t “content.” I’ve recently shared my love of wrestling and anime but you will almost never really see that as content.
But I pride myself on being myself in my content authentically while not giving all of me.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What will you regret not doing?
I will never regret putting myself out there as a person and a creator. If I never took the chances I did, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Whether it’s a yes, no or no response at all, I’ll never regret trying
