Victoria Waddell shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Victoria , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Outside of work, my two beautiful kids bring me the most joy and excitement. Two totally different personalities in children , they just keep me on my toes.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Karma Kreations. I make all custom everything lol. Ranging from desserts to home decor. What makes my business unique is I care more about seeing the reactions I get from my supporters than the income. I love to make people happy because it makes me feel like I made a moment special for other people.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My parents, I use to always doubt myself when it came to my work. My dad would take anything I made and show it off it off to the world. My mother never let me stress about business because whatever I needed she got it! Even stuff I didn’t need she made sure I had it lol. They never let me doubt myself or second guess my .
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Go harder and stay focused
, it’s going be the days you wanna give up. But the puzzle is going to come together.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
“Every day is going to be a good day.” A true small business owner knows it’s going be some days you make $1,000 and some days you barely make enough for dinner lol. Through it all you gotta appreciate everything you got coming.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace while I am crafting. My brains gets into this creative space I barely wanna stop to do anything. I feel free, I can be creative.
