An Inspired Chat with Tasha Wilson

Tasha Wilson shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Tasha, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, I’ve found joy in slowing down and being more intentional with how I spend my time outside of work. I’ve been nurturing the quiet, everyday moments with loved ones, strengthening reciprocal relationships, and creating memories that aren’t shared on social media. For me, it’s about presence over performance, and that shift has brought a lot of peace and joy into my life.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
A visionary leader, a champion for resilience, and a warrior for the unseen. Known as Tasha W: Messenger of Hope, I move with unwavering faith and purpose, empowering women to rise above adversity, embrace their inner strength, and step boldly into their calling. As a transformative leader, international best-selling author, and dynamic speaker, I am dedicated to breaking generational cycles and creating pathways for healing, growth, and success. In this season of my entrepreneurial journey, I’m being intentional about aligning with organizations that reflect the heart of my work—mental wellness, education, and advocacy. I’ve been stepping into leadership roles on advisory and governing boards where I can offer strategic insight and serve in ways that create meaningful impact. I’m also prioritizing speaking opportunities at conferences, using my voice to connect, inspire, and amplify important conversations. At the same time, I’m rebranding the Royalty Refined Movement, tailoring it to better serve the evolving needs of those it’s meant to reach—creating space for deeper healing, empowerment, and intention.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship I had with my Dad has been the most profound influence on how I see myself today. He was always truly present at home, attentive to my brother and me, and deeply interested in our passions. My Dad was humble and easygoing, with a calm presence that never sought the spotlight—yet somehow, his quiet strength left a lasting impression wherever he went. Through his actions, he showed me what it means to be a servant leader. His encouraging words and affirmations taught me to look inward, nurture self-love, build confidence, and embrace the freedom to follow my dreams. When he passed away, it felt like my world shattered—I wasn’t sure how I could move forward. But what I carry with me now is his legacy: the importance of embracing my authentic self, setting healthy boundaries, and living with the awareness that my purpose in life extends far beyond my own journey. My Dad taught me the value of character—leading with integrity and grounding my life in faith, trusting in God’s plan for me.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Embrace your peculiar nature — the way you think, feel, and move through the world. Being different is not something to fix; it’s something to honor. Trust the leader within you, even when your voice shakes. You won’t always have all the answers, and that’s okay — perfection was never the goal. There is strength in your softness, power in your presence, and purpose in every part of your becoming.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Showing up with empathy and compassion — not just in words, but in how I hold space for others. They know I care deeply about being a catalyst for people’s healing, helping them feel seen, valued, and empowered to grow. Whether it’s through a heartfelt conversation, a quiet moment of support, or simply showing up fully, I strive to create spaces where people feel safe to exhale and come home to themselves — grounded in their truth, their worth, and the freedom to show up authentically as they are.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
What would remain is the essence of who I am — the part of me that can’t be named, owned, or contained, only experienced. The heart of who I am. It lives in the way I make others feel seen, safe, and valued; in the seeds of hope, healing, and courage I’ve planted along the way. What lasts isn’t tied to titles or possessions — it’s the quiet strength born from living with intention, rooted in purpose, guided by love.
