We’re looking forward to introducing you to Leah Akers-Wilson. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Leah, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
For me, the most important quality is integrity. I believe integrity is the foundation of everything, personally and professionally. I’m a person of deep loyalty, and I will go above and beyond for the people I care about and the work I commit to. But integrity is what sustains trust, and once that trust is broken through dishonesty or disloyalty, it changes everything. While I can forgive, I don’t forget, because I’ve learned that character matters more than words. Intelligence and energy are valuable, but without integrity, they don’t have a lasting impact. Integrity is what keeps relationships strong, businesses thriving, and communities growing.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Leah Wilson, and I am the Executive Director of Limitless Moments, LLC (LM), as well as a life coach, entrepreneur, and advocate for mental health and wellness. My journey has been shaped by resilience, faith, and a desire to help others live with intention and healing. As a three-time suicide survivor, I understand firsthand the importance of creating safe spaces where people can breathe, grow, and know that they are not alone.
At LM, we focus on building community through events, coaching, and initiatives that merge faith, wellness, and entrepreneur empowerment. What makes our brand unique is that it’s not just about services, it’s about the people. Every project we undertake is designed to give back to others in a way that uplifts and transforms.
One of the most exciting parts of my work right now is the expansion of L.i.m.i.t.l.e.s.s. G.i.r.l.s.™, our sisterhood community, is designed to unite and empower womxn. What makes this sisterhood unique is that it’s more than just a membership; it’s a lifestyle and support system. We offer a space where womxn can grow spiritually, mentally, and emotionally while connecting with like-minded sisters who share the same drive for purpose and healing.
This year, our focus is on welcoming more womxn into this movement because the truth is, none of us are meant to do life alone. Whether through our monthly gatherings, mentorship, or exclusive events, L.i.m.i.t.l.e.s.s. G.i.r.l.s.™ is about creating a safe, powerful sisterhood where womxn don’t just survive—they thrive.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Without a doubt, my great-grandmother and my grandparents. Their love, wisdom, and support shaped me long before I fully understood my own strength. They believed in me when I didn’t always believe in myself and set the foundation for the womxn I am today. Along with them, my mother’s sharp intellect and guidance continue to remind me of the power of resilience, faith, and purpose.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
After my last suicide attempt, I made a decision that changed everything. I stopped seeing my pain as a crutch and began embracing it as part of my story of triumph. God has kept me through storms that should have taken me out, and I realized that my survival wasn’t just for me — it was for others who needed hope. From that moment on, I stopped hiding and started sharing. I understood that people deserved to hear how God was making me over, again and again. That’s when I stepped into my calling as a life coach, to encourage others to keep pressing, no matter how heavy the storm feels.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely, but with layers. I’ve learned that I have so many different sides to me, and not just one person gets the privilege of exploring them all. There’s the professional side of me, the goofy side that my friends know well, the nurturing wife/daughter side, and even more, depending on the moment. While the expressions of who I am may vary, the common thread is authenticity. No matter which version you’re experiencing, you’re always getting a real, genuine piece of me.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I was here. I know it may sound cliché to reference Beyoncé, but those words capture exactly what I hope my life reflects: that I left my mark. I want people to know that I tried my best to use everything God gave me. My aspiration in life is simple: to make people smile in every interaction we share. God entrusted me with the gifts of discernment and empathy, and I strive to use them wisely. I hope that when people walk away from me, they carry a piece of wisdom, encouragement, or love that helps them keep pressing forward.
