We’re looking forward to introducing you to Lauren Hall. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Lauren, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I’m most proud of building though no one may see it is myself. Over the past few years, I’ve rebuilt my self-worth and strengthened my character from the inside out. It’s been tough, but it’s the most meaningful work I’ve done.
Facing my flaws, taking accountability, and practicing grace have made me more grounded, patient, and confident. It’s invisible, but it’s the foundation for everything I build in business, relationships, and life.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I run CairbNb, a woman-owned Airbnb consulting, staging, and management company based in Baltimore, MD. I’m local, hands-on, and genuinely involved in the neighborhoods we serve.
CairbNb focuses on helping hosts create exceptional stays while also supporting the community-whether through hiring locally, giving back, or simply being good neighbors. I love this work and look forward to growing while staying closely connected to the communities we’re part of.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was imaginative, creative, artsy, and musical. Life required me to grow up fast, raising two children at a young age and working hard to keep us afloat. It wasn’t easy, but it was all worth it. And now, in my forties, I’ve reconnected with those parts of myself, the creativity and the curiosity. It feels good to meet that version of me again.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, I would tell her: Be gentle with yourself. You’re raising babies, carrying burdens, and figuring out life all at once. There is so much love and joy ahead of you, and you deserve every bit of it.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
The person whose ideas I rely on most is my husband. He’s very smart, and the unofficial “idea guy” in our home. Whenever I’m brainstorming or unsure which direction to take, he’s the one who helps me see things more clearly. My business name, CairbNb was my husband’s idea.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
The story I hope people tell about me when I’m give is simple: that I was a mother who gave her all, a person who loved deeply, and someone who held her family and friends close. I hope they remember me as hardworking, independent, caring, creative, and brave enough to take risks and enjoy the life I built.
