We recently had the chance to connect with Joey A Breiannis and have shared our conversation below.
Joey, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Yes I would hire me. I try my best to treat every customer just like I would want to be treated. I give then time and attention, I give them advice and I follow up. They have a phone number to text anytime and I love when we meet up in public to chat about concerns they may be having.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Joey and I’m the mother of 9. I homeschool and love being a mother. I started my healing journey about 29 years ago and have continued to grow ever since.
I am a Master Herbalist and Aromatherapist. I work closely with people in the community to manage health issues and skincare without chemicals and toxins.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My husband saw my clearly. He supported my journey and trusted me to help our family with alternative methods of healing. Giving me the support I needed to cultivate the most effective treatments without negative this isn’t going to work mentalities. Knowing that I could be successful made all the difference in the world.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Having my first child’s heart stop from a vaccine. Being told that it was hopeless and I should just lock him away was alot. I was young and very inexperienced. I had almost no support and no knowledge of what to do or who to turn to was hard.
My mom told me my son needed me and I needed to be strong for him like she was for me when I needed it. I have never looked back and I am so grateful for her support and love.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closet friend would say my children matter most to me. I knew when I started my family that I would not raise my children like I was raised. They would have a loving and stable household with parents who were present. Homeschooling helped me to give them the attention they needed and deserved while working and growing my buisness with them around me.
My children are my whole world.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel the most people when I’m out in nature. No shoes, no worries just the bkessings God have given us.
Grounding and connecting with the earth makes me happy. It clears my head and helps me to let go of anger and negativity. I am able to realx and have a deep breath that I so desperately need.
