George, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I am walking a path to greatness. Building my legacy so that my name will live for generations.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
George D Haight 3rd aka Baltimore Bigz, is a man, father, husband, leader, community activist, hip hop artist, author, entrepreneur, youth mentor and so much more.
Some people look at a man like me and think they already know my story. They see the tattoos, the street name—Baltimore Bigz—and they assume I’m just another product of the system. But what they don’t see is the man behind the mask, the pain behind the toughness, the lessons behind the losses, and the fight it took to make it out alive.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I must say, my mother saw the leader and royalty in me at a very young age. I recall many conversations of her telling me “I’m not a follower,I’m a leader”. And that I’m a king.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
“You are a born leader. A born king. Don’t follow the path that’s labeled for you—because we create our own path.” I would remind my younger self that the streets didn’t define him, the prison system didn’t break him, and his mistakes didn’t erase his purpose.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Loyalty and family. I grew up on mafia movies so you can imagine how my principals and morals are about family.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I believe that people will be amazed and shocked that this amazing man has been operating and living amongst them but they never knew.
