Today we’d like to introduce you to London LeGrand.
Hi London, weβd love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Fashion has always been a passion of mine, ever since I was a little boy. LOL! My mother was THAT GIRL! She had SO many clothesβOMG! From here to thereβ¦ bags, shoes, accessoriesβ¦ EVERYTHING! π
She was also a BIG thrift-store shopper back in the day, and I used to HATE it. I was always worried somebody I knew was going to see me and make fun of me. But my mother didnβt care. She took me every single time.
Little did I know, those thrift-store trips were shaping me.
I quickly started going through my momβs clothes, picking out her outfits, styling my girlfriends for going out and back-to-school nights, making clothes, cutting up jeans and dressesβ¦ I was always creating something.
Getting dressed has always made me feel AMAZING. My mother always told me, βIf you look good, you feel good.β
And honestlyβ¦ Iβve carried that with me my whole life. β€οΈβ¨
Would you say itβs been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges youβve faced along the way?
Obstacles, of course, come and go every day. The 9-to-5 was never really a challenge for me⦠until recently.
I quit my job. Yep, I said itβI DID IT! And honestly, it felt good. ππΎ
It wasnβt an easy decision, but sometimes you have to recognize when something is taking more from you mentally and emotionally than itβs giving back. I knew it was time to choose ME, my peace, and the vision I have for my future.
I want to focus on building my own brand, creating something thatβs truly mine, and walking in the purpose God has for me.
There will always be obstacles standing in your way, but Iβve learned that when you keep God first in everything you do, Heβll give you the strength, clarity, and courage to keep moving forward.
So hereβs to new beginnings, taking risks, betting on yourself, and trusting the process. ππΎβ¨
This chapter is differentβ¦ and Iβm ready for it. β€οΈ
As you know, weβre big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Fashion has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. It started when I was a little boy, watching my motherβwho was truly THAT GIRLβput outfits together. She loved clothes, accessories, shoes, and especially thrift shopping. At the time, I didnβt understand it, but those experiences were quietly shaping my eye for fashion and creativity.
Today, fashion is more than just getting dressed for meβitβs a form of self-expression. I love styling, putting unexpected pieces together, mixing vintage with modern, and creating looks that feel authentic to the person wearing them. Iβve always had an eye for details and a natural ability to see the potential in a piece that someone else might overlook.
Iβm especially proud of the fact that Iβve stayed true to that creative side of myself throughout the years. Iβve worked in different industries and experienced plenty of obstacles along the way, but I never lost that passion. Now, Iβm at a point where Iβm stepping away from the traditional 9-to-5 and putting more energy into building my own brand and creating something that is truly mine.
What sets me apart is that I donβt believe fashion has to follow a formula. I believe style should tell your story. Whether itβs thrifted, vintage, high-end, or something you found in a place nobody else thought to look, itβs about how you make it your own.
For me, fashion is confidence, creativity, and freedom. My mother always told me, βIf you look good, you feel good,β and thatβs something Iβve carried with me my entire life.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love most about Baltimore is the people and the culture. Thereβs a real sense of character here that you donβt find everywhere. Baltimore has its own style, its own language, its own energyβand I love that. Itβs a city full of creatives, entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, and people who genuinely care about building community. I think thatβs what makes Baltimore so special.
What I like least is that sometimes Baltimore doesnβt get the recognition it deserves. Thereβs so much talent, creativity, and potential here, but I donβt always think we get the credit or opportunities that other cities receive. I would love to see more investment in our neighborhoods, more support for local creatives and small businesses, and more people celebrating what makes this city unique.
Iβm proud to be from Baltimore, and I think thereβs so much more to come from this city. We have the talentβwe just have to continue creating the opportunities to let it shine.
