Today we’d like to introduce you to Ko Jo
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m Ko-Jo, My business is called Korazi Thingz. Thank you for taking the time to inquire about my journey. The first thing to cover is pronunciation because I always get that question lol… “Koh-RAY-zee” (crazy) I think this was the perfect word to describe how I turned my frustrations into profit! I’ve been actively building my brand since 2018 by crafting libations as a mobile bartender and then adding lash extensions in 2022.
I would always pre-flight before any event and friends would always LOOOOOOve my drinks so in May of 2018 I crafted my first original recipe for a Pineapple Passion Punch! It was a hit! Sold out the pilot day and every weekend after. By the end of Summer 2018, I crafted up to 3 original flavors that you WILL NOT be able to find
with ANYONE else to date. Once the pandemic of 2020 started, that was when Korazi Juice really received exposure. From back yard cook outs to weddings and other special events, Korazi Juice services were in demand. The reactions I would receive, as well as the compliments and referrals really helped to fuel my ambitions. To date, I have crafted 12 original Flavors and 1 Flavor I consider an enhancement from its original flavor.
After finding my rhythm with Korazi Juice, I began to realize it was time to step out and bring another passion to the forefront, beauty. For those who are unfamiliar, Lash extensions are semi-permanent faux mink or silk fibers that are applied strand by strand to your natural lashes. I received my first lash extension service in 2018 and fell in love with them, I’ve never been big on makeup so to have something so natural was exciting. I instantly thought this was something I could do. I can be a Lash Enhancement Tech!! I sought out, found, and learned from an amazing Lash Enhancement Tech. April 2022 I took a certification class and began taking lash model appointments. Korazi Lashez was born. From there, I’ve been learning so much and actually enjoy the experience of growing.
As an entrepreneur I’m always looking to grow to fit the demand. With the ski being the limit I have more up my sleeve in the years to come.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When walking in your truth and knowing your worth you look at things with more optimism in my opinion. Everything seems to fall in place seamlessly. When I find myself at a point where I have no idea how to do something, I do research. I love to read for knowledge so on the business end, things are pretty smooth.
On the other hand I’m more of an introvert, so when it comes to talking to new people, reaching out or promoting, I struggle. But that’s personal and like with anything, practice pays off. So I do what I have to do.
We’ve been impressed with Korazi Thingz , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Korazi Thingz is how I bring everything I do under one brand. I specialize in many things but I’m known for my Mobile Bartending and my Lash Enhancement services.
What sets me apart is my passion for pure success. Success to me isn’t how much I make. It’s how I make my clients feel during or after a service. My proud moments are when the clients express excitement and gratitude for the atmosphere I create. It’s lasting and reoccurring. We form a bond.
I do offer specials for clients who use both me Lash Enhancement services and my Mobile bartending services. I also offer affordable rates compared to some competitors. I’m very flexible.
What are your plans for the future?
I’m placing to constantly make changes. I’m looking to have a Mobile suit soon for my Lash clients. That’s really exciting.
I’m also looking to add to my overall Korazi brand. But one would have to follow my story to see it unfold. I have so many ideas, so much ambition and nothing but time to see it all blossom.
