Rising Stars: Meet ROLLiE HRMNY

Today we’d like to introduce you to ROLLiE HRMNY. Them and their team share their story with us below:

ROLLiE HRMNY is a 26-year-old R&B artist from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (USA). He started as a producer making instrumentals and beats for fun when he was 16, then figured out he had a talent for singing and rapping shortly after. Influenced by artists such as Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Billy Paul, Al Green, and more, the talented creative stretched his musical horizon to find his own personal sonic aesthetic.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
“ if it was smooth it would be easy” but no this road hasn’t been smooth. From trying to find passion and keep faith in my career and the process. One of the struggles was support from family and friends, from people telling you to get a “real career” or a “real job” can be dream and heartbreaking. As well as coming out of incarnation with nothing to your name but a sound and a dream. But I realize if you keep God in your life everything is doable and nothing is hard just a challenge to overcome.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an RnB Artist and producer. I specialize in mixing and beat making l, as well as recording Artist like myself. I’m known for my music and beats. I’m mostly proud of how far my music came, how strong my musical ear has become in this industry. From mixing and mastering, to laying out beats, to even siting down with my wife for musical ideas so much as writing lyrics, teaming up with other artists and producers. In my opinion I feel what sets me apart from others is my attention to detail, my ear, and my ability to listen and take constructive criticism weather it’s good or bad.

How do you think about happiness?
Honestly, now don’t judge me but Cooking makes me happy. I think its the most challenging, fun, and relaxing thing as an artist. Mostly because it’s you vs you if that makes sense. Like you’re always trying to out do yourself but also give yourself so much grace. From oxtail to fried chicken I’m on it.
