Rising Stars: Meet Michael Battle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Battle.

Hi Michael, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My first passion was for music. I started out as an aspiring musician, songwriter, and recording artist. Around 2014 I started creating small video clips of myself and other talents around the region. Soon I was scouted as a promoter for a few nightclubs in Philadelphia, PA. Merging promotional reels and my original music to promote events in the area seemed to gain me notoriety. From there I decided to create a media platform not just for myself but for other artist to display their talents. From there it grew to welcome all creators from the surrounding areas. New, Jersey and Baltimore. Soon afterwards I would become a traveling videographer/photographer as well as promoter. Now my ideas are to grow and help others bring their expressions to life through creative art.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road to success is never smooth but always worth it. Some adversity may come from building and learning to apply the skills you acquire as you go. Entrepreneurship isn’t cut and dry it’s very fickle and you have to find creative ways to brand yourself, gain clients, and accumulate positive results as you build. However, once you realize it should be more about the love and passion you have for your talents than it being all business, you ground yourself and it becomes worth it all over again.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I currently help creators of all sorts build a look for themselves in branding and promotion. Services range from videography, photography, graphic design, digital marketing, and music marketing.

I am known as an influencer and I specialize in the creative arts. Honestly, there isn’t a straight answer. I’m known as a rapper, recording artist, content creator, film maker, photographer, event planner, promoter, socialist, and so much more.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I think risk-taking determines how much a person wants something. If a person is willing to take a risk on themselves, to me that means that person really wants what they are going for. A person who doesn’t take much risk in my opinion, likes to play things safe. I’ve taken many risk in my life. I’ve sacrificed a lot, sometimes you’ll go broke many times before you become successful in your field. However, it all comes down to how much you’re willing to risk.
