Rising Stars: Meet Katrina Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Jackson.

Hi Katrina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I always had the vision to design t-shirts as a young adult. During the process of planning my wedding, I found myself and birth my creative artist side. I purchased the equipment but never used it until Freddie Gray incident when Mondawin Mall was shut down due to the riots. Many people I knew want t-shirts but unfortunately, do to the circumstances, couldn’t. My husband had a pep talk with me which motivated me. The rest is history.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, It hasn’t been easy. Thinking family and friends are going to support you and your vision. Imbalance of my craft and family. Losing the focus of my family.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I do a variety of things. If it peeks my interest, I’m going to try it. T-shirts are the most popular item. I’m known for events planning, party decor, stationery, jewelry, or anything I’m challenging to do. I’m most proud of the positive feedback from my clients. My customer service, personality, and skills set me aside from others. I have the one rule if I won’t buy it for self then I won’t sell it to someone.
