Rising Stars: Meet Jemeceia Buchanan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jemeceia Buchanan.

Jemeceia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Yes, I started my business a year and a half ago during the pandemic, I need it to escape from working in the hospital and seeing all the tragedy and everything around me so I decided to fulfill my dream of becoming a certified florist.

I took an online class that was going at your own pace and I became very excited about my new adventure to becoming a certified florist it took me about a year and after that, I started to advertise and the rest is history this has become a very fulfilling experience I absolutely love.

June floral design and seeing the looks on the people’s faces and even everyday flowers go out of my place to make people happy on a day-to-day basis.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The most obstacle that I have faced is time management you don’t want to turn down people for orders but you also need to make time for yourself and your family as well that is my biggest challenge.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Ok, so I specialize in wedding flowers funerals everyday arrangements I think my favorite is to do is actually funeral flowers which may be kind of odd but in their time of need, I can bring them some happiness to their love when there is no longer here.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
First of all, I would like to thank God for blessing me with this talent and being able to bless other people with creativity.

I also would like to thank my husband and my family for fully supporting me and a very close friend and mentor and partner Terez Grace has been one of my biggest supporters and I am forever grateful to her.
