Rising Stars: Meet Jazmin Owens

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazmin Owens.

Hi Jazmin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Growing up, I’ve always been the one out of my family and friends with the largest bust. It’s always been a struggle of mine especially finding stylish, comfortable and affordable bras. In addition, being an entrepreneur has always been a goal of mine so Busty Babez literally fell in my heart and it just made sense.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all! Entrepreneurship has been a constant up and down battle. I’ve tried so many different lanes and at one point, I told myself to let it go because at this point, it feels like they’re just get rich quick schemes, lol. I wanted something I was passionate about! And when I finally decided to pursue Busty Babez, to find a vendor/manufacturing company was a headache! Dealing with overseas companies, the language barrier and the time difference almost had me reconsidering was I doing the right thing. But I knew these were small obstacles and I could overcome them! Now my vendors are like my overseas family, lol.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Busty Babez is an exclusive women’s brand that specializes in bras/pieces for women with a larger bust! We are a proud woman/African American brand out of Baltimore, MD. I am definitely most proud of the overwhelming amount of support we’ve received since launch day August 2, 2020! We are not your average online boutique and do not plan to be. We are coming out every few months with pieces that really cater to our clientele!

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Covid was not the reason behind Busty Babez but it sure did help birth it. Covid gave me the opportunity to really buckle down and focus in on my audience and demographic. I was able to get so much of the administrative side of my business handle because of Covid and I am thankful that it will forever be a part of Busty Babez story!

Hey Jaz, I am a friend of your dad. I was wondering why we never have a style for small bust woman? I am a 38A and I can never find the right cup or back number that helps me to feel pretty and sexyvin my clothing. I. 54 yes old and I go bra less everyday because of it. Can you just think about adding small and hard to find 38A ti your collections?
    Thanks Ms. E FRIM PHILLY
