Hi Eddie & Bradley, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We are “two mental health therapists with a passion for self-care” (that’s our tag-line!). But in all honesty, we were looking for a unique “handmade” holiday gift for family and friends that we were able to customize and get creative with. Well, we found it about two years ago, but it blossomed into a beautiful business and we really enjoy creating our products!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It can be really challenging to know the ins and outs of running a (retail) business!
When companies stop carrying products or change a formulation, it can be an inconvenience, but we always make due!
Fortunately though, these are our biggest complaints, and it’s really been a joy and a blessing!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are Husbands and business partners! During the day, we are mental health therapists – and as a labor of love, we make handmade artisan soap! We are different because we use real ingredients and try to source locally or grow our own herbs when at all possible. We think that (as cheesy as it sounds) self-care is really important, and it really boils down to those “mindful moments” and “simple pleasures” that you can find. That’s where we really try to utilize natural and comforting ingredients and change it up whenever possible.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
We really love the diversity that Baltimore brings. What we like least is that the news doesn’t show enough of the real breadth of small businesses that Baltimore and surrounding areas have to offer—from fashion to stationary small business to even local queer bookstores that provide a rich history of our city. Baltimore really is a charming city and we’re so proud to be a part of it!
