Meet Trish Kallis of Chaos & Couture Professional Organizing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trish Kallis.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve had a passion for organizing my entire life. When I was a child, I would spend time organizing my room (no really, ask my mom). For me, organizing is very therapeutic. When I see clutter, assess the space, categorize items, and neatly place them back, it gives me satisfaction like nothing else.

Recently, I decided to take the plunge into entrepreneurship. I created Chaos & Couture Professional Organizing to turn my passion into a full-time career. The idea of doing something I love for someone who needs help with their space is an actual dream come true! While most people appreciate a clear space with systems in place, many people do not like the process of organizing.

I know people can get overwhelmed with a project because of the amount of stuff, the limited amount of room or just the paralyzing feeling of “where do I start?” I want to help them tackle that project and make their space work for them. My goal is clear the clutter and makes the space functional and easy to maintain.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve thought about starting this business for a long, long time but the timing was never right.

After asking myself “will the timing ever be right?” over and over, I decided, the time is now. Deciding to start my business was the easy decision I’ve made thus far.

The more difficult times are when I start to doubt myself, feel imposter syndrome and feel overwhelmed. But, I continuously remind myself, “everyone starts somewhere” and that has helped me immensely.

As you know, we’re big fans of Chaos & Couture Professional Organizing. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Chaos & Couture Professional Organizing clears clutter from your space. We can help you tackle the project you’ve been avoiding (we all have one and that’s OKAY)!

Chaos & Couture can help with storage areas, moving, kitchens, toy rooms, kids’ rooms, bathrooms, home offices, and wherever you need chaos cleared! What sets us apart is we understand that some projects are more emotional than others. Chaos & Couture will help you take on the difficult tasks you might be putting off during trying times.

We are able to mediate when needed and understand the delicacy of certain situations. Chaos & Couture is passionate about helping you organize your items and making you feel at peace in your space. We are passionate about what we do and care about our customer’s satisfaction.

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
My biggest risk thus far has been risking my financial stability. Though I understand I’m privileged to be able to take this risk, it doesn’t mean it isn’t terrifying or difficult.

Saying goodbye to a steady paycheck is still something I think about. But for me, the idea of being my own boss, building my business, and learning and growing on my own significantly outways that risk.
