Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Garcia.
Jennifer, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I discovered Energy Healing/Reiki at a time in my life when I needed it most. Because of a highly stressful situation in my then web/graphic design business, one day in early 2012, I experienced rapid breathing and heartbeats. I was scared that I was having a heart attack. Thankfully it was only a panic attack. Soon after, I got an email about an Energy Healing/Reiki class and the description of who should take the class sounded just like me and what I was experiencing. I knew absolutely nothing about it at the time and wasn’t even entirely sure if I believed it but I was desperate to try anything that would stop me from having a heart attack. So I took the Energy Healing/Reiki class to learn how to release stress and calm myself. Not only did the class help me physically, emotionally and spiritually but I really listened to what my body was trying to tell me which was I was in the wrong career field.
Prior to this life-changing class, I had already begun a spiritual journey of embracing my intuitive abilities and learning to connect with them more deeply for myself and also to help others. However, I had not really considered doing this full-time professionally. I came from a family where education was of utmost importance and so I earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English literature. After having worked ten years in higher education, I went back to college to study web design and graphic design before beginning my marketing career. My mindset had always been that one earns a college degree and then pursues that career field. So to make this drastic transition to something that relied primarily on my natural abilities rather than a learned skill and that my education would be through independent classes and not an accredited university seemed a far flung idea. Yet, I couldn’t deny that I was unsatisfied by my web design/graphic design business and that I truly did feel called more and more toward healing and intuitive abilities as my profession. So in 2012 while continuing to pursue my web/graphic design business, I started to pursue my business as a Reiki practitioner and Psychic Medium on the side. I also continued to study Reiki, Tarot and also learn from other professional Mediums. Then in 2015, under the newly branded name Spiritual Spectra, I began pursuing it full-time to help others listen to their mind-body-spirit and offer my clients healing and guidance.
For the past nine years, I have been so fortunate to work with clients who want to make positive changes in their life and want to move forward in a better direction and have come to me for the guidance, healing and support they needed to help them do so. Whether they are coming to me because they want to improve their physical health and want to release the emotional blockages that stop them from doing so, or have experienced a physical injury or pain that doesn’t seem to heal, or had a childhood trauma which still impacts them today or are grieving the loss of a loved one and can’t move forward with their life, I heal them so they can live a happier and healthier life. I am very proud that in 2018 I was invited to appear live on the Jack Diamond morning radio show in DC offering psychic readings to the members of the show. I feel truly honored to have been interviewed by the Baltimore Sun in 2019 on meditation and ways to calm the mind. My journey has been one of improved health and emotional and spiritual development and every part of the journey has helped me to grow as a person and a professional. I am most fulfilled when I am able to empower my clients to help them on their health and spiritual journey.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest hurdle to overcome was my own mindset of pursuing a career field that was so non-traditional. It took me some time to fully embrace that this was my journey and that no matter what others might think, I know that I am here to heal and guide others. Another challenge I faced was when in 2017, I had to leave my office space because of management issues on their end. It was a huge hurdle trying to find a new office space because many places turned me away because of my profession. That’s why in 2018, I was so happy that Perfect Office Solutions not only offered me a space but a welcoming place to help my business fully grow. Because while I had chosen to dedicate myself full-time to this profession because of my limited office space for so long I was really only doing it part-time and my business wasn’t really growing. So finding my office space in 2018 where I could pursue my business full-time, I was really the beginning of taking my business to the next level. The other challenge which has been an ongoing challenge throughout my business is to be able to effectively communicate to people I meet what I do and how I can help others and for those who are curious but yet suspicious to help them build trust that I am here to help them and that I always have their best interest at heart.

I specializes in helping people alleviate stress through Reiki, Meditation, Spiritual Consultations and Medium Reading. Reiki helps to heal the body and calm the mind. Meditation helps to calm the mind and develop spiritually. Spiritual consultations offers life guidance to make better choices. Medium readings offer connections to loved ones in Spirit to ease grieving and provide comfort.
While the above are my core service offerings, I also offer past life readings, Akashic records readings and property energy clearings.
While I am based in Maryland, I can offer most of my services over the phone, through WhatsApp or Zoom to clients anywhere in the world.
It can sometimes be difficult for many to understand how I can offer Reiki, spiritual consultations, medium readings, past life readings and Akashic records readings virtually but what they need to understand is that energy is everywhere and so therefore, I can connect through that energy to them wherever they are and spirit can come through anywhere at any time. For those with a bit of an interest in science, it’s the first law of thermodynamics which states that energy can neither be created or destroyed but it can be transformed and transferred. The work that I do through Reiki is transforming and transferring energy.
What sets me apart from others in my profession is the combination of healing modalities and intuitive abilities that I can incorporate to help my clients heal and move forward in a positive direction. My clients say that I am an incredibly compassionate person who is open and nonjudgmental and makes them feel like they can tell me anything and I am here to help them. Ongoing clients have learned through proven experiences to trust the guidance that I offer them.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is dancing, traveling, spending time with the people I love, and empowering, informing and uplifting others.
I have loved dancing my whole life because when I am dancing, I feel free, joyful and transcended.
I love traveling because I love meeting people from all different nationalities, cultures, religions and languages; learning the history of various lands; admiring the art and architecture throughout history, and exploring cultures throughout the world.
My joy and fulfillment in empowering, informing and uplifting others is when I can see that look in their eyes of that “Aha!” moment or the tears of releasing the pain that has held them trapped for too long.
