Meet Janiqua Brown of Dover

Today we’d like to introduce you to Janiqua Brown.

Hi Janiqua, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It was December of 2020 my mom had covid around the same time I had it but her case was a lot more worse than mine so I was trying to take care of her the best I could while I was experiencing my issue it got to the point that it was so bad she had to go to the hospital and she refused to go at first so it was pretty bad when she actually went so I was alone and the one person I always had wasn’t there bc she was fighting for her life and to take my mind off of worrying so much and just having faith and believing she was ok during my recovery I made my presence known online well I started to really put myself out there and uploaded my first video on my youtube channel ‘Janiquab’ titled (the plug finessed me) the video didn’t go viral but it did get good feedback and it drew people in and from then on I started uploading content every week because I had nothing to do my mom came home from the hospital she was doing good so I kept doing it and I made the homepage on YouTube which was big to me because I just started. I did as far as my channel. I did encounter a blessing that required me to give my channel and an ambassador a break. In Dec 2021, I gave birth to my baby girl (sugar momma), and she changed my life for the better, but I had a few lows that came with motherhood, and I wasn’t myself; I couldn’t shake the feeling. So to get me up and out of that place. I busied myself by uploading reels on my Instagram page and putting my channel back together behind the scenes. In 2020, I partnered up with music engineer djVylo, Vylotheartist, and he allowed me to guide me on content that people wanted to see, connect me with high-status people and get my channel more “known.” Fast forward to today, djVylo has allowed me to join his team (Ntwrk.city), booking gigs, vendors for events, and searching for serious artists that want to further their careers in the music industry. I also signed on to (J.Nachelle beauty) as a brand ambassador promoting her products. If I hadn’t gone through such a trying time to give me that push, I wouldn’t be where I am at this very moment. Things are still coming together right now, but it’s together, and that’s enough for me to keep going and see where it takes me, lol

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
It hasn’t, But I feel it could’ve been worse. The struggles I faced were more so mentally. We all go through things in life, but my biggest hiccup outside of life struggles was keeping my mental and emotional health up to par.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I hustle, do Instacart, and work for djVylo as his virtual assistant. I used to be a dental assistant, but this route that I’m going is safer, and it allows me to be there for my baby. If I’m ever gone, it won’t be for long. All my life, I’ve wanted to do nails, so I’m venturing off to the field of cosmetology to make myself more official. What sets me apart from others is how I can get through such trying times and still come out with the goods. One day, week, month, or year could be bad, and with the right resources and planning, it could be the greatest ever. I’m sure I’m not the only one with this mindset, but my way of executing it differs from others. I also make people feel good, a genuine feel-good people remember who I am and not in an “I’m that girl” type of way, but a “remember that one girl who did this or said that and it made us laugh. I was having a bad day, and I felt better after meeting her” That alone I’m proud of.

What do you think about luck?
Good, we all have a moment of bad luck, but ultimately it comes out good least for me it has
