Today we’d like to introduce you to Isseu Fall.
Hi Isseu, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hello, my name is Isseu FALL and I am originally from Senegal in West Africa. I started helping friends and colleagues on their birthdays, weddings, etc… by decorating with balloons and other decorations items until everybody starts telling me, “you should do it as a side job on your spare times. I started being serious about it back in November 2019.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, at all. Some people don’t understand the struggles that come with it. Some will ghost you once you tell them your prices or even tell you “just for balloons?”
Good balloons are not cheap and if you want to have the “luxury look” you have to buy good quality balloons which is not cheap. Some people can be very rude to you but I guess that’s everywhere. I still have a full-time job and I do decorate on weekends; I haven’t had a day off since last February if I am not mistaken but it’s a choice. I love it; it is a passion.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I like this quote from Don Shula: “Strive for perfection but settle for excellence.” I love what I do and I aim to give my best when I am on-site to make my clients happy and get what they paid for. I am specialized in events decor and mostly balloons decoration. Most of my clients want me to take care of the backdrop, also called the “photo area.”
I guess what sets me apart from others is quality; I always use quality balloons, I always look for new colors, new trends, learn new methods… I am proud when clients are happy. I always say “yes” when I hear a “waouw” from my client. Lol Returning clients make me also proud. I want your readers to know that they will not be disappointed with me. My team and I can turn their dream event into a reality. Whether it’s a product launch, wedding, religious event, birthday, we’ve got the decorations to make your event stand out and be one to remember.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I would say Instagram is where I learn a lot. Between balloon stylists, we help each other. Some of them don’t mind sharing. I follow one blogger that I really love and is owned by one of my nicest clients. She is a cool mom and a social media CEO; she teaches people how to run their social media and other things. Her Instagram is: @everydayvogue
